Recommended by one of our friends, we were not disappointed. The welcome and service are warm and we enjoyed the Florentine steak. Monsieur likes his meat well cooked, I eat it blue, the cooking was perfectly respected and executed. The accompaniments offered are rather healthy, cooked white beans or green salad, or tomato salad, very good to accompany a generous piece of beef, but you will also find pasta on the menu. For dessert, we had the meringue cake, a real delight! As for the dining room, I was surprised at first, because the tables are large tables shared with other people, but it is ultimately friendly and not at all annoying. The place is atypical and you immediately feel that it is full of history, it is one of the oldest trattorias in Florence. Contrary to the times indicated, the restaurant is open on Saturdays. It is located in a lively area close to the historic center, very nice for strolling and walking a little after a hearty meal. I recommend it for those who appreciate good, gourmet home cooking, served simply.

A unique place, wonderfully good dishes. We had pasta al pomodoro, chicken cooked in butter, flageolet in sauce, a rib of beef, for desserts it was wild strawberries with cream and cake with meringue and wild strawberries. Everything was excellent. The boss and staff were very welcoming and kind. We had a perfect time. It’s a very friendly restaurant that I recommend.

My sister recommended this restaurant to us. I suggest that whatever you do, make a reservation. It opens at 7.30pm, we were in promptly and within ten minutes it was full. Whatever you do, order the butter chicken. Perfection. I also thought that their zucchini fritti were the best I have ever had. Service is efficient and friendly. Perhaps the greatest compliment that I can pay them, apart from the fact that we had a marvellous evening, is that when we got up to leave we said good bye to three tables around us. After reading all the great reviews we just had to come during our brief visit to Florence. Since they don't take reservations on line, we asked our hotel to make reservations for us. We came in at 7:30 PM and were promptly and warmly greeted. We had the steak and buttered chicken, which was to die for. It is in a small valley. Google had trouble pinpoint it and tried to send us another trattoria up the street.
