Ristorante La Terrazza Asnigo In Cernobbio

The food was delicious, and I agree with another user's review that the restaurant deserves a Michelin star. We ordered the beef tartare, steak and tuna, and they were cooked to perfection. However, the service did not match the quality of the food. It took about 20 minutes to receive the menu upon arrival and another 15 minutes to order drinks. After asking for the bill, we waited an additional 20 minutes. There was a senior staff member trying to handle everything while a junior staff member focused on cleaning. The slow service may have been due to the junior member being in training or not being fluent in English, so this might have been just our experience.

We really enjoyed our two night stay here. The view from our room (we had a side like view) and the pool / bar / restaurant area was beautiful. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. We really liked the location. 15/20 min walking distance to the main area although the way back is very uphill if you’re not the fittest. Cernobbio in general seemed a lot quieter than some of other towns but still busy enough with tourists to create an atmosphere and some great restaurants.

The single room was very small, but clean and well furnished. The air conditioning was quite loud. The dinner was very good. The breakfast was also sufficient. The location on the mountain is great with a very nice view of Lake Como. It's a shame that the outdoor pool wasn't open yet.

Very nice and beautiful view, bit far to walk. Driving up can be difficult if you are not used to small streets. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are a bit small. Therefore if you are traveling with big luggage, it might be difficult.

The hotel offers breathtaking views of Lake Como. It is located 1.5 km above Cernobbio. There is a very nice terrace and a pool with sun loungers. The cuisine is very good and the price/performance ratio is good. Service is very good, apart from the breakfast dragon. The breakfast is varied with sweets, fruit, a large selection of bread, cheese, salads, ham, eggs, etc. Coffee is freshly prepared upon request. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely small. If one person moves around the room, the other must remain still on the bed. Sleeping comfort is very good. Bathroom is very well equipped with bathroom items and hairdryer. Safe and mini bar available. Parking costs €15 per night - you can save money, there is a free public parking lot about 100 m away. There are two very good restaurants and a Prima Pizzeria nearby.

What I liked: The views are incredible. I spent hours just staring at the beautiful landscape around the hotel. The restaurant has amazing views, too, and the food there is really lovely. We ate there every night and tried the whole primi menu. The staff at the restaurant always made us feel welcome. The breakfast is very good. The location of the hotel is its main USP - Cernobbio is stunning but the hotel is located on a very calm part of the city, on the hills. Might not be a great idea to stay here if you don't have a car and are not okay with climbing hills but if you're fine with that, then this is perfect. Our room was the best one in the entire hotel - we had 2 balconies and 3 big windows with basically 180 degree views. We'll definitely return and try to book this room again! What I didn't like: The acoustics are a bit weird and the fact that the bedroom doors are too light doesn't help - everyone would bang their doors every time they left their room. The quality of the toiletries and slippers was not great and it would be great to have liquid soap available. The bath door was not fitted properly so wouldn't close all the way and we noticed some of the sealant on the windows hadn't been applied correctly either. The door to the balcony wouldn't close very well but that wasn't an issue since it was quite warm outside anyway. It would have been nice to have been informed that the pool was closed upon check-in.
