Very nice place on the beautiful island of Albarella

I thank Barca very much for the welcome and the kind and easy reservation which allowed us to access the exclusive Island of Albarella. Unfortunately, however, the experience was not the best. 7 of us had lunch and we chose only 3 different dishes: spaghetti with clams, grilled amberjack, orecchiette with turnip tops and clams. while waiting, a starter of fried food to share and a couple of mixed salads. A bottle of still white wine which turned out to be very good and organic (nice surprise! I recommend indicating it on the wine list so that it isn't just a stroke of luck...). Coming to the quality of the food: spaghetti with clams good but not exciting... good quantity for a complete first course. Unfortunately, however, some clams still had sand... The amberjack was dry. The orecchiette...: they were personally served to me later because evidently they had forgotten the order, so much so that I had to draw the waitress' attention to it. They were prepared hastily and the result was evident. Overdone pasta, carelessness in plating and above all NONE, but I mean NO clams had opened... so they certainly shouldn't have been served. The gentleman at the checkout was kind enough to allow us to split the bill since we were 2 families. The environment is clean and well-kept like the whole island and overlooks a beautiful garden which allows children to be free to play so as not to keep them stuck at the table. If I return to Albarella I will give another chance to the La Barca restaurant, which if it had not sinned on the food and service, would have had a reasonable price.

One of the few places open in Albarella out of season. Informal place with good service. Good appetizer with boiled fish. Orecchiette with turnip greens and clams are amazing, fantastic. Very light fried calamari and prawns. The only discordant note was the potatoes, mint and artichokes, with the latter using artichokes in oil. Venial sin admitted by the manager, not having fresh ones. Overall a great experience.

For me they deserve top marks, they are open all year round for lunch and dinner. These are people to be rewarded because they provide a service never seen before on the island! Recommended dishes: spaghetti with clams "risotted" in a masterful way and burrata and scampi ravioli, a guarantee.
