Ristorante Gennarino In Livorno

Served in a few minutes, fabulous cacciucco. Optionally also without bones.

I stopped by during a trip. When I visited just after noon, there were only a few customers, but by around 1:00 p.m., many customers had arrived and the seats were quickly filled. I ordered Caciucco (seafood stew in tomato sauce), a specialty of Livorno. There are two types of food sizes available, and I ordered the smaller size so that I could also order the appetizers of seared tuna and stuffed mussels, but the portions were satisfying. All the dishes were fresh and delicious, and I was very satisfied that I was able to enjoy such dishes for lunch. Cachucco is relatively simple, with a lot of squid and octopus, and only mantis shrimp. Personally, I like it, but some people may find the variety of ingredients lacking. Aprons for meals are provided. There is a restroom on the second floor, and the women's restroom is equipped with napkins. There is a diaper changing table. There are washbasins for both men and women, so you can wash your hands after eating seafood, so you don't have to worry. It's a little pricey for lunch, but the price is acceptable if you're on a trip.

Saturday evening dinner with family, quiet place, not crowded, friendly staff, fast service. We had the mussels peppered, pappardelle with octopus sauce, spaghettoni all'amiraglia, mixed fried fish, all delicious.

Positive experience last night! The cacciucco is good, the wine is good and the environment is nice and clean. Very satisfied! In my opinion, the service needs to be improved: the two waitresses work very hard, but they still have to grow: but for this it's only a matter of time! Advised! Thank you very much!

A little dated place, good service, good value for money, excellent cacciucco

A somewhat Spartan place, in an area where parking spaces are not easily found. However I found the staff friendly and quick. The food was delicious, of excellent quality, fresh fish and you can taste it. Fantastic cacciucco, sublime stuffed mussels. Absolutely to return. Advised.

Great experience!!! Competent, friendly and smiling staff Excellent dishes to say the least, well presented and with a delicious taste! The desserts were excellent to end the meal!!! Highly recommended, we will definitely be back!

We are still inside the venue at the time of this review... place booked through the fork... very characteristic and very nice and welcoming place, almost familiar3. Then we move on to the food, having an excellent mussel stew and two first gnocchi with scampi and a spaghettone dell'amiraglia, both truly excellent... and then moving on to an excellent decomposed millefeuille... After 8 months of frequenting Livorno...I leave a restaurant satisfied... Congratulations I really recommend it..

Pranzo della domenica in uno storico ristorante di pesce in centro a Livorno. Abbiamo trovato un personale molto gentile e simpatico, un menù di mare (con un paio di alternative di carne) che spaziava dagli antipasti ai secondi con contorno offrendo i piatti tipici della tradizione livornese come il cacciucco, il baccalà alla livornese, le triglie e le cozze ripiene. Onestamente abbiamo mangiato benissimo. Anche la frittura di mare era spaziale!!!! Davvero un bel posto dove tornare!

Trovato qui su Trip Advisor, il ristorante mi ha sorpreso. Dall'esterno non mi aveva inzialmente fatto una buona impressione, ma mi sono dovuta subito ricredere appena trovatami di fronte, e poi entrata, nel locale. Molto spazioso, ben arredato (in linea con il tipo di ristorante, alla mano). Sono andata in settimana e non c'erano molte persone. Staff molto cordiale. La cameriera mi ha fatto assaggiare il vino prima di servirmelo, e purtroppo questo non mi capita in tutti i ristoranti dove vado. Ho preso un unico piatto, mangiando io poco, pappardelle (fatte a mano) di ragù di polpo, consigliatemi sempre dalla stessa cameriera. Molto soddisfatta del piatto e del rapporto qualità/prezzo. Non ho preso altro, ma i dolci sembravano invitanti.
