09/05/2024: I am often having an Italian breakfast there, cappuccino, coffee and a croissant (cornetto in Italian). Cappuccino is made with fresh milk, cornettos are fresh and coffee (espresso) tastes good. A choice of three newspapers (all Italian). Service is friendly, in the Italian/European way, which may appear a bit “unfriendly” to people coming from countries outside Europe. I usually pay around 4 euros for a cappucino, coffee and a cornetto, depending on the type of cornetto I order.
05/02/2024: After a beautiful walk on the splendid walls of Lucca we found ourselves having a quick aperitif in this small bar.
We were greeted by a very kind and well-mannered lady who immediately made us feel at ease.
We sat down in a small internal room, well furnished and with walls full of bottles of wine, which for those who appreciate it, are truly a beautiful sight.
The lady, together with our order, two spritzes and two soft drinks, delighted us with some typical appetizers, chips and peanuts, and an interesting bruschetta made up of hot melted cheese and bresaola.
The spritzes could perhaps have been made a little better, there was little taste of Aperol and much of Prosecco, but all in all the experience was pleasant.
Very honest total price for the place, in the center of Lucca and at the foot of the walls., if you find yourself spending a day in this splendid city I recommend this small bar for a refreshing aperitif.
