Nel cuore delle colline sopra Castelnuovo Lorietta propone una cucina della tradizione, sana e casalinga. Abbiamo mangiato discretamente bene, l unica cosa che ci tengo a sottolineare è l assenza del menù che, se ci fosse stato, avrebbe permesso di evitare portate che non corrispondono, esattamente, a quanto detto. I tordelli sono dei tortellini, la tagliata era piena di aceto balsamico che può piacere o, come a me, non piacere. La crema catalana era al rhum. Se queste cose fossero state evidenziate prima una persona avrebbe ordinato altro e/o evitato possibili intolleranze. Location 8 Menù 6 Servizio 6 Conto 7 Il servizio è veloce, attento, professionale in ambiente molto familiare, il conto proporzionato alla spesa.

I've been to this place for work and when I return to the area I always stop by to eat here. The tordelli are truly exceptional and so are the rest of the dishes. Then the value for money is truly exceptional!

Historic family-run restaurant that I have been frequenting for 40 years. Nice facility, clean, and quiet location. BUT you CANNOT think of going to a customer and asking for an order WITHOUT having presented a menu! Service done with condescension, because they are now known and think they can afford it... ERROR. Cuisine that doesn't weigh you down but doesn't die of satisfaction either. Excellent price.

Ambiente familiare , tutto molto buono , cucina della tradizione e vista panoramica sulla valle del Serchio , prezzi onestissimi con pietanze per la maggioranza fatte in casa, ex scuola ristrutturata a casale , torneremo sicuramente

02/04/2024: Perfect dinner just outside the walls of Lucca. A place that offers high quality cuisine suitable for everyone with choices of both meat and fish. The girl in the dining room is super kind and available to explain the cooking proposal. There is the possibility of choosing the fixed price menu consisting of 2 or 3 dishes chosen from the menu (absolutely recommended, includes water, coffee and cover charge) or just one dish from the menu. What makes the difference is the quality and quantity of the food as well as the presentation at the reception. Added value is the spritz offered as soon as you sit down and the welcome entré before starting dinner. If you pass through Lucca you absolutely must stop!
25/03/2024: A pleasant discovery: the menu does not present the usual proposals and makes you curious to try everything. The dishes are very good and well prepared, even entertaining in some of the presentations. Aurora is extraordinary in the dining room and makes you feel at home straight away. The prices are definitely correct for the quality of the food. Highly recommended!!!
