Having stayed in the hotel we also decided to try the cuisine, a restaurant which is also present in the Michelin guide, what can I say starting from the entree to the dessert it was all delicious, fresh products and raw materials treated with respect, the location is very welcoming , the trained and friendly staff and the prices are absolutely accessible. As for the 5-star hotel, the same, as it is a historic building artfully restored (conservative restoration) therefore everything has remained substantially as it was, at the reception they are very helpful, and the rooms are spacious and clean, therefore QuattroGigli is highly recommended and I hope to return soon.

I came in with three bags, my computer bag weighs a ton and the girl at the reception, even though I had told her that I would be making two trips, took my bag and took it to my room without batting an eyelid. Preso una battuta di carne come primo, a me che di solito non piace la carne cruda, mi è piaciuta grazie l'apporto di salsine stupende, poi una carne (bovide) alla fiorentina molto tenera, che si scioglieva in bocca e come dessert una crema di parmigiano accompagnata a meraviglia di una mousse di pera che constatava e completava il dessert. In un quadro idillico per chi vuole passare serate intime con la tenera meta in una cantina bagnata di musica classica.

Sono tornato dopo molto tempo al ristorante 4 Gigli è cambiata gestione e sinceramente è stato fatto un grosso passo indietro. Già le sale sono arredate da non risaltare la particolarità inoltre i piatti sono molto banali. carta dei vini ridotta ai minimi termini con etichette senza nessuna lode
