Returned to Catania to savor the flavor of grilled horse meat again
Excellent, as are the meatballs and onion sauce
I recommend you try their appetizer buffet (cost based on quantity, I cost 5 euros with a small plate)
Unfortunately, a negative note on the layout of the tables: it was raining and we had to make do so as not to end up with all the water on our plates
At the time of the bill, we were charged a little too much for the horse fillet compared to the restaurant's price range (perhaps with a local accent I would have gotten the right price?)

Now we are in a moment where we are looking for particular foods and places, mostly because we would like to become poets of food, we want photographs, we want followers, we want advertising, we want wisdom and knowledge of food, so I think we need to take a step back and we must look for Street food, therefore, although this is not appreciated in Italy, we must leave prejudices behind and eat this good, crude, delicious Viking food once.
Drop by this place and enjoy this food.

Typical Catania trattoria with a diversified menu. Horse meat, beef and pork cooked on the grill. The barbecued horse meatballs were special. I drank a glass of good house red wine. Cozy environment. Quick service. Advise!

Excellent horse meat and excellent choice. All-you-can-eat side dishes at the buffet. Too bad the service is super basic but in any case the waiters were very kind and helpful

This was a great find - a nice trattoria, a bit out of the touristy center, filled with locals. I had a pasta dish, a quartino of wine, and a dessert- enjoyed everything. Service was good and everything was fresh. Reasonably priced. Not terribly far from the monastery. It seemed like meat was their specialty- I’d live to return to try some out. Recommend.

Ci ha consigliato questa trattoria tipica catanese un venditore di spremute di melograno. È mai consiglio fu più prezioso. Pasta alla norma e filetto di cavallo all’ennesima potenza! Abbiamo pranzato con questi 2 piatti tipici catanesi ed è stata una goduria. Eccezionali! Il cavallo era veramente ottimo. Location rustica, come le trattorie di una volta. Non indicata a chi cerca raffinatezze o modernità. Assolutamente consigliata a chi vuol mangiar bene spendendo il giusto.
