We visited on a weekday, and fortunately, due to lunchtime, the church was nearly empty, making it incredibly easy for us to take pictures and then sit and relax in the tranquility of the environment. The marble work was exceptional, and the artistic details were simply stunning.

You cannot say you have visited Salerno if you have not been to its splendid Cathedral. Note that to visit the crypt it is necessary to access it via a staircase whose entrance is on the left nave. In fact, the main entrance is often closed to the public.

Please note: many of the visitors miss it (including in the reviews here) - the cathedral is simple and quite ordinary, not particularly ornate, but the crypt, which you go down to by stairs, is simply wonderful. Don't lose her.

Magnificent temple of Romanesque origin, large in size. The façade of the temple is found after crossing a patio that resembles a two-story cloister. The floors are beautiful, with stones of different colors forming geometric patterns. It has a beautiful main altar with mosaics and two beautiful side altars. It also has beautiful side chapels.

Beautiful. The porch is lovely. Inside, the pulpits and the floor of the apse are beautiful, but as you walk around there are other wonders. The crypt is also worth seeing

Spacious room located in a location a few steps from a viewpoint with spectacular views of Vesuvius and the surrounding plain up to the sea (on beautiful clear days you can also see the islands of the Gulf of Naples). Traditional cuisine with very tasty dishes and excellent quality products. I confirm what was described previously, adding that the dishes consumed today: scialatielli with porcini mushrooms, lamb with potatoes, provola alla piasta with potatoes and porcini mushrooms are excellent in preparation, taste and cooking. Delicious strawberry. Highly recommended.
