This morning I purchased a freshly made Fedora cake, I had been told by friends from Catania that it was very good, truly a good delicacy.

Introduce yourself to the Queen of Catenese pastry: the torta Fedora. This cake slaps!!! Immaculately toasted almonds covering perfectly sweetened sheep-milk ricotta held in shape with thin layers of heavenly sponge. They're making a truly exceptional dessert here, sparing no expense. Spectacular. 10/10.

There is no party or occasion that is not followed by the delicious Fedora cake from the Giuffrida pastry shop. The quality of the ricotta is extraordinary. It has no equal. Super pastry shop! Service and courtesy harmonize and make this place a true "delight".

13/02/2024: Historic bar and emblem of the city and the people of Catania. My father went there as a child (early 60s) and I go there when I need to feel at home. No rush, no pressure: you can enjoy a snack, first courses for a simple lunch/dinner and obviously drinks in large quantities. All of this, among other things, from dawn to late evening, for the convenience of those who are nearby (right in the centre, one step away from everything). The tables outside allow you to sit in the shade of the trees and you feel good all year round; the ancient kindness of the staff brings us back to a world that is being lost, in the frenzy of the present. It's not a bar, it's an experience. You need to go there if you want to enjoy the real life of Catania.
12/02/2024: I can only give 5 stars both for the pasta I got and for the education and kindness of those behind the counter.

10/03/2024: Camilleri lo avrebbe inserito in un suo romanzo. Ambiente anni 70, compresi i personaggi come il proprietario, seduto ad un tavolo per l’accoglienza, un commensale solitario che curiosava sul nostro ingresso, il cameriere educato e sincero, un tavolo di sei persone già presenti al nostro ingresso e che continuavano a temporeggiare a fine pasto dopo la nostra uscita, le pareti inondate di foto con personaggi famosi, il tavolo e le sedie che sembravano recuperate da un ristorante tirolese… l’idea di esser parte di una storia romanzata mi ha seguito per tutto il pranzo, e già questo è stato estremamente piacevole. Il cibo? Passato in secondo piano è stato consono all’ambiente, sincero e genuino.
23/10/2023: L'ambiente si compone di stanze uno dietro l'altra. Le pareti sono letteralmente tappezzate di foto di clienti "famosi". All'ingresso vi è una vetrina con al suo interno vari tipi di contorni ed antipasti. Il personale è gentile, anche se la cucina fa attendere l'uscita dei piatti. La qualità delle pietanze è discreta, mentre le porzioni sono più che abbondanti. I prezzi sono equi.
