Meraviglioso In Polignano a mare

Bon mais un peu décevant. L’accueil et le service sont aimables et professionnels mais beaucoup, beaucoup trop rapide. C’est dommage… Quant à la cuisine, elle est de qualité et bien présentée mais je m’attendais à beaucoup plus de travail et plus saveurs dans mes plats (poisson mariné cru, orrechietti et sorbet citron-gingembre). Du coup, un peu déçus.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Polignano overlooking the sea and the statue of Domenico Modugno. Excellent welcome, very nice interiors and a special mention for the open kitchen... Fantastic. The raw tastings were not all to my liking, in particular some oysters, the staff was not always very attentive, but.... the owner always looked out and checked the guests with just a glance. It was enough to meet mine and understand that we needed it. GOOD BOY...

Yesterday, accompanied by my brother, we decided to have our first experience in a starred restaurant. it was a mystical experience because being the first time, we really didn't know what to expect but the expectations we had created as soon as we entered the restaurant were greatly exceeded. As soon as we entered there was a very graceful, soft air with an energy that only a fantastic place with a view of the sea can give you. At the entrance we found the restaurant manager who, together with his colleagues, guided us during this experience and explained to us the reason why certain dishes were paired with certain wines (all of which was clearly in the spirit of discovery because we didn't know much about it. Initially I had the classic belief of "leaving the restaurant with an empty stomach", as many people say but in reality, following the philosophy and the steps we left full but above all overwhelmed by a feeling of pure satisfaction. For people who are meticulous and attentive to detail, you can look for attention to detail in everything (from pet-friendliness, to the impeccable care of the bathrooms and the elegant service provided at the tables). To tell the truth, when we got to the end, it was pleasant even paying for dinner for the service they offered us because it gave us unique emotions

Nothing to complain about the environment and the dishes, but bleeding the customer, especially foreigners, by charging 130 for two bottles of wine which costs 15 euros per bottle is a real theft. A bad presentation card, certainly customers who will never come back .

My partner and I have been to this restaurant several times and we have never been disappointed, on the contrary! Very welcoming place, staff of rare kindness and professionalism, attentive to every need and very nice! We decided to try one of the two tasting menus offered with wine pairing and the sommelier guided us throughout the experience, carefully explaining each choice! Each dish tastes better than the other! Excellent raw materials, perfect combinations: in the mouth it was an explosion of new flavors every time! I really recommend this experience!

Modern venue, sea view; impeccable service; excellent cuisine, technical quality, carefully prepared dishes, a very well-articulated wine list; I imagine they aspire to the star. It was a pleasant lunch. Advise

A true journey INTO taste. We ate like never anywhere else in restaurants of the same category in Puglia. The staff are also fun, as well as respectful and friendly. Until next time.

Excellent tasting menu, great variety of courses, you certainly won't go home on an empty stomach (it's certainly not an all-you-can-eat menu). Remember to report your allergies/intolerances or unwanted ingredients when booking to better enjoy the menu. Always present table service, new and very well-kept restaurant, open kitchen, strategic position next to the statue of Domenico Modugno and the panoramic terrace.

We had a truly delightful meal here and incredible attentive friendly and wonderful service. We chose off the menu rather than taking the degustation options, and were treated to so many delicious amuse bouche and tiny tasters before each course... each more delish and beautifully presented than the last. I particularly remember the 3 types of bread served before the starter followed by 3 tiny tasters, then amuse bouche after the starter, then pre dessert before our dessert and then 3 tiny chocolates after dessert. The wine waiter tested and swirled our wine priming the glass and taking incredible care to coat the glass and make the wine (one of the moderate priced options on the menu) taste amazing. He served it in one of most incredible long thin stemmed glasses I have ever seen - the stem was super thin while the glass was very generous sized and the whole super slender stem was flexible and could move when pushed. (who knew - bendable stems really are a thing! - check out the impossible goblet created by Matt Escukhe - it literally wobbles from side to side) And when we left the lovely maitre d' front of house - who had been so delightfully friendly and lovely all evening - rushed off and bought us back a small gift wrapped sweet treat to take away. It cost a few Euro more per course than the hotel we were staying in nearby but in our opinion was great value for the wonderful experience and was a real highlight of our trip to Puglia. The restaurant is in front of the Domenico statue where everyone seems to strike the same pose and sing the same song for their selfie photo - which was fun background noise at night (I imagine it gets irritating for the wait staff though!) and the view looks across the bay to the lights of the old town cliff top. I thought it was a pleasant relaxing ambience. Focus is on the beautifully presented food and very attentive service as it should be.
