Masseria Montenapoleone In Fasano

Had a beautiful dinner at Masseria Montenapoleone on our last night in Cisternino. A beautiful farm to table experience with all produce fresh from the property. The menu was amazing for allergies, everything is very simple and numbered with what food groups are included. To start, the waiter bought out a lovely bag of warm bread with a tackle box. There was all different types of olive oil and whipped olive oil - it was so delicious and started of the evening very nicely. They even had gluten free bread. My partner and I ordered to share, we had the potatoes, pea and sausage pasta, the octopus salad and veal. Some friends at the table were vegetarian and they ordered the eggplant parmigiana and a salad! Another couple ordered the duck and cod… they did not enjoy their meals as much as us however you know what they say… pick your venue… maybe stick to ordering the pasta in Italy??? Caveat.. the gluten free menu was quite restrictive which is why they ordered like this. The wine list was impressive, we shared two bottles of organic red wine and they were very earthy, peppery with a hint of plum. The meal was very good value for 8 people, we got away with €280 and we ordered a lot of food and were all so full. The quality of food was incredible and the venue itself was a beautiful estate. Would recommend going, however order the pasta and you will have no troubles!
