May 2024: Typical dish of the area, you can notice the cleanliness in the house where you work, the oil is in good condition. The polenta was very delicious, when we went there was a lot of line so we went around and came back later when it was empty, the price is ridiculous: €2 for 10 pieces. Quite filling. I recommend that you try this stall since there are others but the hygiene is questionable.

You can't come to Bari without passing through here. Excellent Sgagliozze and popizza. I recommend them even if they are not the best from a health and hygiene point of view. You pay only in cash....

Excellent value for money for the La nonna Maria delle Scagliozze! I enjoyed a delicious fried polenta, a true Italian specialty. I give it a 4/5!

Come by in the morning and you will see Donna Maria preparing polenta. From 5.30pm onwards for €2 you can get 10 freshly fried sgaiozze. Picturesque place in old Bari

Consigliatissimo per un pranzo informale e caratteristico. Il personale simpatico,gentilissimo ed efficiente . Il menù consisteva in piccoli assaggi di cucina tipica barese, più un piatto di orecchiette,bevande comprese il tutto a 18 euro. Tutto buonissimo e servito in un tempismo perfetto,nonostante fosse molto affollato...L'impressione è quella di essere stati invitati a casa di amici.Sicuramente ci tornerò.

Their main attraction is the fried polenta, which is nice as a novelty snack, however we found other locations that made it better. The location is rather annoying, because you'll be waiting in line in a small and crowded alley, so best have some patience with you as well.

Sgagliozze were delicious and gluten free. I was told by staff that there is no flour and they are cooked in separate oil to the popizze which was great as a coeliac!

03/10/2023: This place is off the beaten path and was suggested by our hotel. It’s a HUGE restaurant and there were lots of locals there. The staff was very friendly and efficient. They all tried their best at English. We had caprese salad, pizza and wine. The server was helpful at suggesting combinations for our pizzas. Although there was a bit of confusion for my husband’s pizza, all was good and the food came to us pretty quickly. If you are looking for something with a more local feel, less touristy… this could be a good place for you to try. We enjoyed ourselves and were glad for the suggestion from our hotel.
25/09/2023: Sono stato in questo ristorante per un pranzo di gruppo con un menu turistico. Ristorante affollato . Cibo discreto.buon servizio. Ambiente ordinato e abbastanza curato.
