Siamo andati io e la mia famiglia al cenone di Capodanno e al pranzo del primo dell’anno. Una location pazzesca, immensa e tenuta perfettamente in condizioni molto più che presentabili. Il servizio, nonostante il pieno delle sale, è stato super efficiente e cordiale. Ad ogni portata cambiavano immediatamente le posate e tutti i piatti consumati (tra cui ringrazio tutto lo staff della sala che ha partecipato nei giorni indicati). Il cibo di ottima qualità (cosa non scontata negli ultimi giorni dell’anno), porzioni abbondanti e di ottimo sapore, preparati veramente con esperienza e qualità. Infine ringrazio Francesco e Nunzio i proprietari della location, che non hanno fatto mancare la loro presenza in sala in tutti e due giorni per tutti i tavoli chiedendo a tutti quanti noi se eravamo soddisfatti o c’era qualche mancanza a livello di piatti o servizi. È stata la prima volta che mi capita di vedere persone così accoglienti e che ci mettono la faccia in sala. Faccio i miei complimenti a tutti e un augurio di un buon anno. Ci vedremo il 25/01/2024 per festeggiare un compleanno di nuovo qui perché non potevo cercare di meglio.

Siamo stati ad una cerimonia ed è stato tutto bello, dalla location agli addobbi. Il cibo TOP con i camerieri che passavano per la seconda volta per il bis.

Couldn't find a more fitting restaurant to have my wife's birthday dinner along with friends who live in nearby Aversa. The amuse-bouche was fabulous. The chef was kind enough to make a one-off cake. A similar meal in N. Va or D.C. would cost double or more—exceptional food at a value price.

Veritas

02/04/2024: I had the pleasure of having lunch at the Veritas Restaurant on Easter day, opting for the "Authentic" tasting course consisting of 8 courses ranging from a welcome snack to small pastries. We were extremely satisfied with the dining experience offered by new chef Marco Caputi. The appetizer of cuttlefish tagliatelle accompanied with freshly baked bread was an excellent start: the delicacy of the tagliatelle with the hint of almond milk made this dish unforgettable. Followed by spaghetti with mussels and coconut which brought out the intensity of the marine flavour. Good, but less innovative, are the chicken, herring and thyme plinths. The brioche bread accompanied with lamb, turnip tops (in double consistency) and black garlic perfectly captured the spirit of Easter, offering a delicious combination of tradition and innovation. The pre-dessert was an unexpected surprise: a touch of freshness and originality that prepared the palate for the sweet conclusion of the dinner. The dessert, combining chocolate and chicory, offered a surprising and compelling combination of flavours, demonstrating the chef's mastery and creativity in creating unique dishes. The path of the small pastry shop has been equally remarkable, offering a variety of finely crafted and tastefully presented desserts. The presentation of the dishes was impeccable and the quality of the ingredients highlighted an attention to detail that is truly appreciated. In conclusion, Veritas Restaurant has proven to live up to its Michelin star, offering an authentic and memorable gastronomic experience.
31/03/2024: An unforgettable Easter at Veritas. My Easter experience at the Veritas restaurant in Naples was a culinary adventure that I will hardly forget. With the recent rise of chef Marco Caputi to lead the kitchen, I had high expectations, which were not only met but exceeded. From the moment we walked in the door, the elegant and welcoming atmosphere of Veritas promised a unique experience. The service, always attentive but never intrusive, made our Easter lunch even more special. Chef Caputi brought a breath of fresh air with his menu inspired by the Irpinian tradition, revisited in a modern key. Each dish was a work of art, both to the eye and the palate, demonstrating mastery of flavor balance and presentation.
