We decided to stop for an aperitif after a long day spent in the streets of Matera. Reaching the place was simple as it is located along the main street of the town. The platter of mixed cold cuts and local cheeses accompanied by two classic croutons with cherry tomatoes is very good. The craft beers they produce are also recommended.

We stopped in this bar/restaurant located in a street where tourism passes in Matera for an aperitif before dinner. Despite the strategic position to attract tourists we found good local products with a selection of craft beers they produce. Try the cutting board. Excellent for an aperitif with friends and to rest after a nice walk in Matera.

Siamo arrivati a Matera all'ora di pranzo, calcolando che oggi è l'Immacolata tutti i locali sono pienissimi. Ci siamo fermati da questi ragazzi, purtroppo il servizio è stato lento perché a lavorare erano solo in 2. Abbiamo aspettato più di un'ora per 4 panini, premetto molto buoni.abbiamo assaggiato I più particolari. Comunque lo consiglio.

Ci siamo stati ieri per un pranzo al volo, è stato tutto fuorché un pranzo al volo 😅😅 Tentatissimi dal menù abbiamo fatto un pranzo abbondante, tagliere buono ma pezzi forti sono i panfocaccia. Davvero sublimi. Il servizio è ottimo. Sicuramente se saremo di nuovo di passaggio a Matera ci ritorneremo.

Excellent lunch here at L’Antica Credenza with a view over the piazza & church. Great menu and prices and both the crostinis & cold cut plates were fresh tasty and decent portions. Service was a little curt but it was a very hot busy day and the timing of the dishes was fast…so all in all very happy!

A great casual place for lunch or a snack. The cheese and meat platters are very generous and showcasing the region of Matera and beyond. Soft and hard cheeses, homemade jam and different variety of meats. I didn’t see many tables without a platter and one that wasn’t finished. Service was prompt and kind. Thank you

Homemade bread, sulphite-free wine, excellent meats, delicious first courses and the bruschetta with caramelised onion, goat's ricotta, broccoli and Cantabrian anchovies is an absolute must..... a delight!!!!! My husband and I had only booked for Easter but after having lunch we also booked for Easter Monday 😂😂😂. If you are in Matera you cannot miss a meal at Sapori Gluten Free. A special applause goes above all to the owner, a gentleman who takes care of the room impeccably. Thank you, see you soon.
05/04/2024: Beautiful place, we were there today and I must say excellent quality of the products, very good pizza and first courses and good homemade dessert. it's worth traveling 50 km, we will definitely be back!
