The owner was very friendly and helpful, However his knowledge of English was minimal and although my wife is very good at Italianl, the chalked up menu was a bit of a leap into the unknown. Clearly very popular with the locals and a bias towards fish. It's the sort of informal and authentic osteria that one searches out for and is glad when one finds it. We are non fish eaters and really enjoyed the tomato pasta and the steak. The homemade bread was very good.
