Good dishes, well plated and with quality ingredients. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, but in my opinion few of them as you still have to wait a bit. Nice atmosphere even if on the roadside. Prices a little high for the portions.

Last Saturday I was passing through Chioggia and I found this restaurant by chance. It is located in a small side street off the main road in the center of Chioggia. I asked if they had room on the veranda at the moment, places were becoming available, the lady, very kind I think one of the two owners, told me to come back after 15 minutes, I'll give her the number. He calls me back 5 minutes later offering a seat inside, I accept and we have lunch inside the restaurant. Very cute and well looked after. Let me start by saying that I was there with my 2 year old, a little dog and my parents. They have prepared the table with the high chair and cutlery for the baby. Good service, the nice and kind chef, I think the Lady's husband, took the order. Off the menu they had Moeche with polenta, I must say sublime! Fish carbonara and spaghetti with seafood are really good and plentiful. Then to conclude an equally good fried fish. They kindly helped me with the baby by quickly bringing me a pasta with meat sauce which was very welcome. To conclude, a delicious passion fruit sorbet. I don't usually leave very long or descriptive reviews but lately I've struggled to find places where the quality/price ratio and customer treatment have been as satisfactory as in this place. I will definitely be back!

I've never been to Chioggia and they always told me go and visit it because it's worth it and then stop to eat some good fish, on the first reason I have to go back found it a foggy day but a beautiful one on the second point what can I say, a big compliment to the restaurateurs of La Taverna , I wanted to satisfy my desire for raw fish and more, satisfied like a child on the day of Saint Lucia, fish, molluscs and crustaceans all really fresh and what doesn't hurt is seasoned with the kindness of the staff.... I absolutely have to go back. ...... if only I hadn't seen Chioggia.......

Una breve pausa in questo ristorante di Chioggia, deliziando una cena con due portate solamente perché un po' di fretta... Direi che i nostri antipasti erano squisiti, un baccalà mantecato e crostini, delle seppie al nero ed entrambi le pietanze appoggiate a polenta.... I primi, i nostri due primi....mmmmmm che bontà, gnocchi, zafferano gamberi e fiori di zucca e dei ravioli al nero di seppia con ripieno al branzino.... Un solo calice di Soave buono.... Bella la preparazione dei tavoli, ambiente caldo e romantico.... peccato esserci fermati per poco ma ritorneremo.... Molto gradita la gentilezza di chi ci ha accolto.... grazie.... Pranzo semplicemente di qualitativo! In due….Antipasto di cicchetti caldi, gnocchi allo zafferano fatti in casa che mi hanno ricordato quelli della mia nonna, una frittura che sapeva di fresco e per nulla unta; il prezzo giusto per mangiare il buon pesce fresco…..E si esce soddisfatti sia per quantità che per qualità!
