We have purchased Gelato from La Fabbrica Del Gelato for years. This is a great local business with and excellent product and staff. The introduction of a food cart at Villa balbianello is a wonderful idea. So why have I not given this business 5 stars. Its because they use plastic spoons and straws which many customers throw onto the ground and they can end up in the lake. This will be a 5 star review when the business uses wooden spoons and paper straws that will decompose. Customers should also be more caring of the Lenno environment and put their rubbish in one of the many bins.

Excellent spot after visiting Villa del Balbianello, beautiful walk down to Lenno on the waterfront. Gelato is excellent, you know it’s going to be amazing because the vats are covered, not displaying the gelato out in the open. This is a tell tale sign of excellent gelato. Medium cup with 2 flavours is €3, my favourite was crema al fico (figs).

Unbelievable authentic gelato!!! The girls serving are amazing and work so hard. Has been our go to spot in Lenno for gelato, highly recommend!

15/08/2024: the atmosphere is really nice, but the service is super slow. Food is okay but nothing special
11/08/2024: This restaurant is a delicious culinary adventure. From start to finish each course is a series of well constructed bites that takes your pallet on a flavour rollercoaster. The thing that impressed me the most is how well they accommodate dietary restrictions. The quality remained the same between the regular menu, to the lactose free, to the vegetarian. It would be a shame to visit lake como and not eat here.

20/07/2024: Bar Motta is one of the places of the heart, in a wonderful location in front of the splendid Lake Como. I often go there for an aperitif on the weekend to sip a spritz at sunset away from the noise of the city. Young and efficient staff
10/07/2024: Great service and views. Had their Greek salad, caprese, and pizza! Staff was so hospitable and welcoming. So glad we found this cute place to eat after our boat tour.
