First of all, let me clarify that it is not a hotel.
It is a historic villa with an adjoining botanical garden, very well cared for.
Recommended visit during the flowering period, i.e. from the beginning of April to the end of May.
There are numerous plants from different ecosystems, worth mentioning is the valley of ferns and the Japanese style area with lots of bamboo. Many varieties of azaleas and rhododendrons.
The Villa houses finds from the family who lived there.

A very fascinating place. I managed to take a few photos out there. Given the price of €15, the Meli entrance is reserved for another time with a beautiful day, perhaps all Fiorito. Since the weather wasn't the best on Easter Sunday. Charming romantic

Despite the pouring rain during our visit to Villa Carlotta, the botanical garden's beauty was undiminished, offering a peaceful walk along the 75-minute trail, ending with the museum. The garden was the definite highlight, overshadowing the less impressive museum.

Its a garden with historic house. Worth a visit for the price. Take C10bus from S. Giovanni station. Ferry is unreliable.

Splendid seventeenth-century villa. Very large rooms furnished with various styles and magnificent frescoes. In the Italian garden many wonderful flowers overlooking Lake Como. You must visit it.. I will definitely be back!

Splendid villa with large botanical garden, overlooking Lake Como, between the municipalities of Tremezzina and Griante.
The internal museum is beautiful, which houses paintings and sculptures by famous artists including Hayez and Canova.
After visiting the museum, we continue with a tour of the large botanical garden, which is home to many varieties (including tropical ones) of trees, plants and flowers.
The best time to visit, in my opinion, is the month of May when the azaleas are in bloom.

We've been here several times photographing couples and we've always been impressed by the beautiful gardens and the elegant elements of the interiors. It really is a great combo of both. Super easy to reach by car or ferry, quite cheap and with a great number of different backgrounds for pictures. Yes, book your photoshoot here without doubting!

I believe it is one of the most beautiful villas on the lake. It has a history behind it that starts from the 1600s when it was built by the Clerics and then had a whole series of changes of hands until it reached Marianna of Prussia who in 1850 donated it to her daughter. Carlotta hence the name.
It is a villa rich not only in history but also in art and culture, there are many works including those by Canova.
However, the part that I liked the most was the garden, although I didn't see everything but it is spectacular.
I recommend if you go to the lake to visit it in spring.
