Small restaurant in the center of Cortona. Excellent food, really top quality, good wine, beautiful and very characteristic environment. Friendly, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Also recommended for celiacs.

We went to La Bucaccia for lunch after a walk through the streets of Cortona. Very good food, first we had pico all'aglione and pappardelle with wild boar, chestnuts and truffle, both excellent. Pici present on the menu while pappardelle was among the dishes of the day. For the second course we took the duck breast cooked at low temperature with wine reduction. What to say? Fabulous, soft, tasty, really tasty reduction and a side of celeriac puree which paired perfectly. Finally, two desserts, chocolate dome with fruit and tiramisu with buffalo mascarpone.
Attentive service and very friendly owner. Nice and typical environment of a medieval village.
Price in line with the quality of the food.
Highly recommended.

Ristorante raccomandato dalla Guida Michelin…mai consiglio e’ stato così azzeccato! Piatti della tradizione toscana ottimamente preparati e presentati. Carta dei vini impeccabile… e Romano fa la vera differenza rendendo l’esperienza ancora più gradevole. Consigliatissimo!

Romano è un vero padrone di casa .
È lui a fare la differenza .
Ti accoglie , ti intrattiene , ti fa sentire subito a casa .
Il locale ha un fascino tempo, ti percepisci avvolto nella culla della storia e della gastronomia toscana. I piatti sono ottimi, ben presentati e serviti in una giusta quantità.
Mi permetto solo di suggerire di ripensare il coperto, apparecchiare con la carta in un locale del genere intacca la sua eleganza ed appare come l’unica nota stonata.
Grazie mille Romano.
Ci hai regalato il primo bellissimo pranzo del 2024.
