Joe's Cantina In Palermo

I booked a table for two people, excellent Tex-Mex food with various interesting dishes, from quesadillas, to fajitas, to tacos, to burritos, all very good and of excellent quality. The drink is also excellent with different choices regarding beers, the possibility of having an excellent sangria, and a wide choice of tequila, with a nice detail, as very often you will hear tapping on the table, and it is the sound that represents the tequila boom boom. The only sore point is that the place is very chaotic, as it is located in a basement without windows, so the sound echoes. The two of us paid €78, a slightly above average price, but considering the type of place and the quality of the food, I don't feel like I can complain at all.

Really nice family evening. I returned after a few years, I found the good flavors I remembered unchanged. The soft chicken enchilada with Mex rice and vegetables was really excellent. Ditto the tortilla appetizers. The sangria is very good, with the added value of the 1 liter free promo. Present and professional service. Correct value for money. I'll be back.

The food was lovely. We were there on a Tuesday night, and the place was quiet. I would recommend the Margheritas, botana mexicana and the coco and lime parfait.

Let me start by saying that the environment really smells like old Mexico! Very clean place. Impeccable table service. Gianluca, the restaurant manager, an exquisite person! Concerning the food just one word.. excellent! Very high quality food. My fajitas were butter in my mouth. Highly recommended place!!

I hadn't been there in a while so I didn't know what to eat. I got some advice (meat burritos) and I must say that I ate very well.

Avevo grandi aspettative. Siamo andati a mangiare insieme alla mia famiglia, il cameriere si credeva simpatico ma non è stato così. Mi è stato proposto un piatto sbagliato, omettendo ingredienti, ovviamente poi non gradito e poi ce l’hanno fatto pure pagare. conto salatissimo, nemmeno un minimo sconto considerato l’errore Non credo torneremo.

The place is very nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. The food was good but the portions of some dishes were small. like 4 pieces of chicken wings and the cut of meat honestly too little meat. Make us wake up more satisfied with the quantity. The coconut dessert is excellent.

We book for the second shift at 9.30pm and we are punctual, with an unexpected defection we are no longer 6 but 4. They make us "seat" at 10.17pm, in the meantime many tables have emptied, but they have assigned us a corner table right under the counter, we point out that it is narrow and in the middle of the passage and that after 50 minutes of VERY POLITE waiting outside the restaurant they could have done better, they tell me that I have to ask the owner. I go there and only after insistence, absurd with now 10 empty tables of all shapes and sizes, but we have been moved to another square table of 4 in another corner...well it's Saturday and I don't want to get nervous, but put 4 beers on the table and a water, sour cream etc...basically a puzzle of inconveniences....impossible to enjoy dinner you have to move interlocking things. The menu is always the same and it may even be worth it... once the lackluster start is taken away, the service lightens up and smiles. Something isn't working and needs to be reviewed,...the place has a long history in Palermo, and that's why I'm writing!!! Because the few polite words did not undermine the certainties. I haven't been back here for 5 years, sorry for the delay, maybe next time it will be better.
