Il Mortaio In Genova

It was recommended to me by a colleague of mine and so I went last night with my family and it was a great experience. Nice place, the space is small because the houses there are old and that's what it is but it's well organized and you eat really well and you spend the right amount. The staff is kind and helpful. Limited menu but everything really excellent. I will definitely go back, I recommend it to everyone.

Decent value for money (but be careful not to take something outside their fixed menu, because automatically everything else will also be calculated on the paper! 😑🤨) Simple place, fresh in typically Ligurian colours, warm (like real Ligurians!).. although rather narrow in shape and with few seats. Often you are left standing waiting to find a table. Some criticism of the personality of the 50-year-old waiter who, being rather "quick", will not always meet the customer's liking. In Voltri there are alternatives that do not cause anxiety.

An excellent price-quality ratio for simple, homemade cuisine. The bill is super in line for the place and for what we ate. I advise? Yes, but don't expect gourmet cuisine or refinement in the dishes, here the product wins, not how it is plated
