Ristorante agriturismo spettacolare sia per cucina che per posizione. Personale gentile e disponibile unitamente ad ottimi interni ben tenuti. Ritornerò sicuramente in estate (sperando di mangiare all'aperto vista pietra). Lo consiglierò. Prezzi onestissimi per quanto offerto.

Farmhouse with traditional cuisine from the Reggiana mountains located in the upper suburbs of Castelnovese where you can admire a beautiful panorama and the Bismantova stone. Typical mountain restaurant, located outside the "city chaos", and a landscape suitable for a walk among nature. The dishes are well cooked, with local products such as tortelli, and tagliatelle with mushrooms, fried mushrooms and more……….compliments to the kitchen and the service in the room. I recommend booking 4-5 days in advance.

Went for lunch on a beautiful winter day with an almost spring-like temperature inversion. Apart from the place being in a beautiful location, we ate very well and the expense was certainly not high, on the contrary. We'll be back!

Un mix tra cucina Toscana ed Emiliana. Tutto buono. Fossimo stati in qualunque altra parte d'Italia, avrei detto Ottimo. Purtroppo in quella zona così vocata alla cucina, siamo nella fascia medio alta. Consigliato

Locale caratteristico, in un angolo di paradiso, accanto ad una piccola Chiesetta e ai piedi della Pietra di Bismantova. L'interno e' tradizionale, con una bella veduta sui monti ma sopratutto e' la cucina che fa da padrona. Piatti davvero eccellenti, pasta fatta in casa, cappelletti, lunette, tortelli con ripieni che variano da quello che offre il territorio nei vari periodi dell'anno. Nei secondi piatti c'e' una scelta di carni che va dal filetto di vitello alla tagliata, cacciagione varia, insomma ce n'e' per tutti i gusti. E per finire in dolcezza, dessert e torte tutti fatti rigorosamente dalle sapienti mani delle brave cuoche. La orenotazione e' d'obbligo!!!

Agriturismo San Giuseppe

02/04/2024: As my last day comes to an end I am full of emotions, my 3 week stay here at Agriturismo San Giuseppe has been nothing short of fantastic! Maxi Mainini and his entire family Angela Mainini, Caterina Mainini their mother and all the staff made me feel like family not just a guest. They went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and more. Let's not forget to also mention the restaurant they run here, oh my goodness, all I have to say is compliments to the chef, the food was perfect! I have not been served a dish that I didn't like. From all the traditional Italian dishes to the amazing local wine and beer. But the part that really touched my heart was that they knew I would miss Easter at home with my wife and kids and they didn't have to, but they included me in their family's tradition on Easter Monday. Sitting at that big table with all of them eating that amazing homemade pizza was so comforting. I will miss this small town in Italy 🇮🇹 but know that I will leave "you" a piece of my heart ❤️ family is a bond not only of blood Thanks for everything, until our next meeting
13/03/2024: A corner of genuine peace... I discovered this farmhouse in 2018, for business trips. And now I have organized a business trip to stop here again, 6 years later. I found a structure consistently faithful to itself, as I remembered it: silence, quiet and excellent food (it was no coincidence that I had planned to have dinner there), but also with the feeling that modernizations had been made, without distorting the soul of the place . The food is excellent (to make it easier for me, they sent me the menu on WhatsApp the day before), the bill is honest. The night passed peacefully, in a very comfortable bed and with a silence of times gone by. I will return (for dinner...). Sensational breakfast, rich and genuine, with the feeling that it had been prepared especially for me. The only request I feel like making: if it were possible to purchase the excellent parmesan that was served to me at dinner. Maybe it's possible and I didn't ask...I'll try next time...
