02/06/2024: We came to this restaurant because it was listed among the 10 best in Florence on Trip Advisor and I must say that it was the best choice we could have made. I am vegan while my partner is omnivore and it is always difficult to find a place that meets the needs of both. Well we ate DIVINELY in this restaurant. The owner was GREAT! Very kind. He made us sit down and offered us an appetizer with two glasses of panzanella and then a small bowl with a taste of delicious vegetable cream!
I ordered the carrot spaghetti with vegetable cream, Taggiasca olives and cherry tomatoes… one of the best vegan dishes I've ever eaten in my life! Delicious, light, so much so that my omnivorous companion was delighted! He was undecided between the octopus and the tartare, so the owner offered to make him a portion of both so he could try them. Plus we ordered some baked potatoes.. special!! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. When the prawn tartare arrived, my partner didn't like it, not because of the dish itself (which was extraordinary), but because he had made a mistake, he doesn't like prawns. So the owner sent him a beef tartare which he scarfed down in 3 seconds! Everything was accompanied by sauces and above all by Tropea onions, so good that I would have bathed in them! Plus we ordered two glasses of Chardonnay, organic, very tasty and which went down like water! A pleasure! Limoncello to finish the evening and €54 bill.
Beyond the wonderful quality of the dishes we ate, the place is really beautiful, the proletarian very kind, friendly and there were options for vegans, vegetarians, omnivores and even celiacs! In short, we couldn't have done better, if there were 10 stars I would give them!
Compliments to the chef, SUPER! I invite everyone to go to this restaurant if you are in Florence!
