Hostaria Apicius: A Surprising Gastronomic Discovery
Recently, I had dinner at the Hostaria Apicius restaurant, known for its excellent wine cellar. I had warned my guests that, unfortunately, I feared finding cheap cuisine in a restaurant without particular pretensions, and that the real pleasure of the evening would only be the selection of wines. How wrong I was!
The cuisine at Hostaria Apicius was a revelation. Each dish presented was a combination of flavours, expertly crafted by the expert hand of the chef. Every bite was an explosion of taste, in which every single flavor was exalted to the maximum, and then merged into a perfect harmony that affected the palate, the mind and the heart.
From the selection of starters, which already promised a unique culinary experience, to the main dishes which were able to amaze us with their creativity and delicacy, everything was perfect. The care in presentation and attention to detail made the dinner a real sensorial journey.
I can only highly recommend a visit to this restaurant. Hostaria Apicius is not only a guarantee for lovers of good wine, but also an unmissable destination for those looking for high-level cuisine that knows how to surprise and delight.
We have been customers of Hostaria Apicius for a few years already. Always very happy to return. A couple of months ago the location changed and from Alatri, in an old place, they moved to Fiuggi, to the Fiuggi Golf Club. Yet, despite the location and atmosphere having changed, we still enjoyed being their guests once again. The dishes created by the chef are always at the top, the choice of matching wines is always successful and appreciated. I think it will be an amazing summer with the new view of the green golf courses and the crisp air of Fiuggi. We will be back soon for new tastings. Thanks for the good lunch!
