From the outside it is not particularly attractive as it is located on the corner of two streets and practically only shows the shutters, but upon entering you feel welcomed. There is the bar counter, a room with a large table and a sort of musical direction and then the room where you eat. It's a cross between a club, a brewery and a restaurant. Difficult to describe, but it must be experienced. You can eat sandwiches, hamburgers, or a normal lunch with a first and second starter. We opted for that. The starter where everything was good but the tartare was amazing, the oxtail (outside the region but very tasty) and the chickpea and spinach meatballs were very good. Wine (Piedmontese) and water and a curious and very good beer tiramisu. There was the opportunity to chat pleasantly among diners we met on the spot. Nice atmosphere, very relaxing and pleasant. The owner is kind and affable. Well done. Advised! 👍

My experience is very subjective, but I always recommend everyone to try the places reviewed, always remembering that sometimes it's the company that makes the difference. I would also like to justify my low rating for the service. We were a table of 14 guests, with a reservation so be warned. but.... with a 4 hour evening at the table..... ordering, almost cold dishes, I mean dishes to be consumed cold, e.g. cold cuts and sandwiches It seemed a bit much to me. But like I said before... Always try all the places that are reviewed, because the experience of one is not the same for all due to many variations. But I can't give her a high rating for the service in this first experience of mine. Bad nights happen to everyone.

Good morning, I ate in this place for the umpteenth time. I looked at the bathrooms before sitting at the table and the cleanliness of the floors. Everything was ok. Then we ordered and I must say the first courses were very good and also at my request to add salami. (really excellent) accompanied by baked vegetables I really appreciated both the combination and the owner's willingness to accommodate my requests. Very honest prices and excellent service. Therefore recommended. Obviously in moments with many people and in the evening I have not yet been able to see but as is normal you just need to be patient and if you are not satisfied just point it out and as I have seen the availability of the staff is always well demonstrated. excellent lunch and thank you.

The choice of beers, in my opinion, is the best in the city. The cuisine is very good with always different menus. I'm always happy to come back :)

I've been going to Hop since it opened. This is not a "normal" place, but a place that has "a soul". How many times have I gone there alone and still felt at home: for the people who frequent it, for the excellent beers and for the food, always delicious and varied. The soul of this place was created by Remo, its owner, who always does his utmost to propose different and fun initiatives... such as music and themed events. Thank you Remo for putting your soul into everything you do!

Il locale per eccellenza della birra artigianale ad Alessandria. Per chi conosce la storia della cultura birraia cittadina il locale “Hop” rappresenta un punto di riferimento assoluto. Ottima cucina con svariate proposte sempre nuove, cura dei dettagli e attenzione verso i clienti sono il punto di forza di questo storico locale. Il titolare Remo ed i suoi ragazzi sapranno consigliarvi e coinvolgervi nel fantastico mondo della birra artigianale.

Ottimo menù che permette di scegliere tra panini e gustosissimi piatti. Ormai io e il mio fidanzato sono anni che frequentiamo questo locale e l’appuntamento con l’hamburger del mese è immancabile in quanto ogni volta è una combinazione particolare di ingredienti sempre di prima qualità. Il personale è gentilissimo e fa sì che ogni volta si entri in un luogo accogliente che ti fa sentire a casa. Ottima la scelta delle birre, c’è sempre qualcosa di nuovo da provare. Nella foto il titolare, persona meravigliosa e professionale.

13/03/2024: Ottima accoglienza dopo aver prenotato 3 quarti d’ora prima tutto buono sia il primo penne con ragù di carne , sia il secondo , il mio amico a preso il rosbif con le verdure grigliate sia il mio involtini di pollo con piselli e patate condite con olio e origano
02/03/2024: I ate very well, savoring the genuine cuisine "like it used to be". Fixed menu, today I chose panissa (super), meatballs with sauce (delicious) and peperonata (super). Also local "like it used to be" and I write it with the utmost admiration and heart-shaped eyes.

02/06/2024: The location is enchanting, in an ancient building with frescoed ceilings, there are several rooms, very intimate, nice atmosphere although I would put a musical background of restaurant music suitable for the place to create an atmosphere more suited to the place... The fish I liked it, not at the highest levels, but good. The rice was overcooked. The service, however, unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. Absolutely unsuitable for the place. The dining room staff does not know the minimum basic rules of service. In a place like this, I expected the waiter to pour the water, for example. The man was always served first and then the woman, we asked for breadsticks but they never arrived, a saucer for the shells was not brought, the first one arrived but I still had the appetizer plate... Too bad, because service is also important and in a place like this, you expect something different.
27/04/2024: Enchanting location in the historic center of the spa town, the ceilings are frescoed, the appropriate furnishings, the open kitchen. The dishes, all based on fish, are expertly cooked; the mixed fried food is truly amazing! The dining room staff, despite what emerges from some reviews, is absolutely kind, efficient and prepared. The quality/price ratio is absolutely adequate for the quality of the food and the location, indeed, if you choose the tasting menu, this ratio is to be considered truly excellent. At the beginning of dinner we were served, included in the cover charge, a delicious mouth-opener: battered tuna in courgette flower. The only not so positive note was the slightly long waiting times but this is the "price you pay" to be able to enjoy freshly cooked dishes; however, at the end of the dinner, the Chef apologized for the wait (though not too long) and gave us the two glasses of bubbles we had ordered at the start of the meal. If you chose to opt for the tasting menu, the waiting times would certainly be shorter. In summary, our experience was satisfactory and we would highly recommend this place.
