I went here in 2006 on the advice of a backpacker we met on the train who told us he’d been to 50 countries and this was his favorite restaurant in the world. It did not disappoint at that time!

We were very happy to learn that the owner of the restaurant, which attracted us with its pleasant appearance while walking on the beach, was Turkish. We ate seafood pasta, it was very delicious, with plenty of ingredients, a full plate, the environment and service were already very good, thank you very much for their hospitality...

We were seated on the 2nd floor, great view, very tasty homemade wine. The pizza is super, the Parma with melon is not bad, but 18€ is a little expensive. Overall I liked everything

After a long walk through beautiful Como we decided to find a place to eat. What made us choose Fontana d’Oro was the reasonable prices, the upper terrace and the fact that they had pasta carbonara on their menu.
The view for the terrace was amazing and the food was delicious. We definitely recommend it!

We liked the view and went in. The portrait of Ataturk we came across made us very happy. The owner, Mr. Musa, and his family settled in Como about 50 years ago, they were caring and kind, the food was fresh, the portions were satisfying and delicious, the homemade limoncello treats were very delicious, the view is unlike other restaurants. It was unique because it had an upper layer. We loved the risotto made with seafood. I definitely recommend it.

A very friendly staff and really nice food. Where the view over the beautiful Lake Como was top notch. The food was good and the prices were also reasonable. All in all, a really good experience, where the view pulls the score up, as the food was good and nothing more than that.
(A pizza cost 11-14 euros and a pasta (13-17 euros)

I give five stars because the attention to the customer deserves them all. My boyfriend and I went here yesterday and ate on the terrace, with a stunning view of the lake!
We took a calzone (pure art) and Neapolitan-style mussels with chips on the side. The super fresh mussels and when the plate where to throw the shells was almost full, here comes the waiter to replace it: these things make the difference!
We will definitely return given the excellent quality/price ratio.
