The best regional food in Orvieto. Not the normal tourist menu. Genuinely delicious and unusual dishes, tortellini in broth, followed by pork liver wrapped in fennel. The veal step with peas also beautiful. Don’t be put off by the 70s decor, just experience the fabulous food and local wine.

As soon as I arrived near Orvieto I chose this place and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. Mr Valerio is very kind and attentive, his dishes are really simple but good, I also ordered to test him in addition to the spaghetti carbonara (200g brought to the table) the roast lamb and I must say both the quantity and the quality definitely impressed me satisfied. If you're looking for a simple but good place that's affordable for your wallet, go for it, Valerio knows what he's doing. Thank you, I will remember to keep it in mind on my next trips there.

Di passaggio ci siamo fermati per un pranzo veloce....qualità super!! Gentilezza e cortesia insieme ad un cibo da ricordare. Qualità/quantità/ prezzo ....peccato abitare lontano. Provate e non rimarrete delusi!

Excellent, fantastic, genuine! During our short stay in Orvieto we had dinner here both evenings. Kindness, simplicity, friendliness, quality, quantity, price, it's all there. Dishes "like they once were", which are good for the soul, not just the palate. We would like to point out the spaghetti cacio e pepe, the umbrichelli all'amatriciana, the vegetable soup and the ricotta and pear cake which we will certainly not forget. Thank you

E' su una strada con un bel movimento di auto, ma il locale poi non è rumoroso. Arredamento un po' stile anni '70, la gentilezza e l'educazione conquistano. Solo cucina locale, dove la carne la fa da padrona. Prezzi medi per i secondi (10-14 Euri), un po' cari i contorni a 6 Euro l'uno. Complessivamente ci è piaciuto abbastanza.

01/04/2024: Everything produced by them, everything good, small cutting boards slightly overpriced compared to the quantities presented. They don't have a mixed platter and the cheese platter should have more cheeses, without fruit, at most with more jams :D We drank the house wine, I recommend making a reservation.
13/03/2024: Very high quality food. You can feel the master's experience on all the cured meats. The mortadella is delicious with 3 variations, the loin, the salami, the pancetta, the fillet with herbs... ancient flavours... it is difficult to find excellence of this level. An obligatory stop on every trip north I make. Two seconds from the Orvieto motorway exit. At the shop there is the master's daughter and son-in-law, very friendly, kind and know how to point out the characteristics of each product to perfection, you can see that they spent days alongside the master, all strictly WITHOUT lactose and other rubbish. Make yourself a cutting board and a glass of wine. You will explore new flavors and you will leave happier and more energized, because once you taste those products you will definitely bring something back home. And once you get home you will regret not having also taken the loin.
