Da Pasquale In Lucca

One of, if not the best dining experience of my life. Pasquale treated my wife and I like we were family. I got a reservation about a month out via email while still in the US. I had the last seating of the night and when I walked in Pasquale called me by my name. Scallops were superb, Rissoto is like nothing I’ve ever had, and the fettuccine was the perfect balance of flavors. Extensive wine list, Pasquale made a personal suggestion that was a very reasonable price. Desserts were fantastic. I cannot say enough about this place. They are really passionate about what they do and it shows in their product. If you are in Tuscany, go to Lucca. If only just to eat here. You will not be disappointed.

Unique experience for the quality of the food, the wine, due to a perfect knowledge of the products, but above all for the care that the staff has for the guests.

Do yourself a favor and don't waste your valuable time elsewhere. The service and food are top notch. The atmosphere is intimate and unusually friendly.

We made a reservation via their website 2 days in advance. As we arrived, we were greeted and shown to our table and served a complimentary Prosecco while we looked over the menu. We selected a Bordeaux wine to accompany our meal and the owner (Pasquale) came over to make sure it was properly served to us. We each ordered a meal and surprisingly an appetizer of eggplants, capers and olives showed up at our table also as complimentary. The wine was excellent and when our meals were served we really enjoyed the beef filet with sliced potatoes. The risotto with shrimp was good also but the filet was the star. For dessert, we shared the cannolo (3 pieces for 6 euros) which was good. The owner, Pasquale, came by several times to check on us and make sure everything was great.

Pasquale, can’t believe it’s been over 8 years since we first came to your Osteria. For two nights you served up incredible food and supported by a wonderful team. Prosecco on arrival, followed by a really tasty caponata and the portion of sea bass was huge! A complimentary Melone liqueur one night, dessert the next. Truly exceptional. Must come again before you finally retire!
