Casareccia at best but good food and with an exceptional view

Trattoria as it once was, with a menu explained verbally and unpretentious service, quite slow and cumbersome. Simple dishes, very good cacio e pepe, also the meatballs, wonderful location in front of the Tuscania park. If you're looking for something old fashioned, this is the place. Very low prices.

Today an out-of-town trip between Vulci castle and Tuscania. Thanks to a group who had reported it to me, we went to Alfreda and we were certainly not disappointed. We booked at the beginning of the month anticipating the crowds on a public holiday like today. There were 11 of us and we took 2 bottles of water and 2l of wine for everyone. Except for 2 people who shared the menu, we all had a first and second course and side dishes. The majority of us, including me, had the cacio e pepe lombrichelli as a first course and some tagliatelle with ragù and matriciana. For my second course I had meatballs with sauce, some rabbit hunter style, lamb, beans with pork rinds or sliced ​​with mushrooms. They brought us mixed side dishes: salad, chard and beans. They brought us 2 baskets of cantucci for everyone as desserts. In the end we paid €16 each. The venue's booking policy is based on 2 shifts: one at 12pm and the other at 2pm. We were ready for the second shift so we calmly visited the Vulci Castle in the morning and then moved to Tuscania. If you want to eat genuine food on paper placemats, feel free to come. At the end of the meal, I recommend an ice cream at Falleroni just outside the historic center in the direction of the free national civic museum.

Location molto rustica,cucina Romana tradizionale e prezzi ottimi. Il servizio è molto accogliente e familiare. Ottimo per un uscita informale. Da Alfreda devi andare, Sotto la pergola a mangiare!!

Trattoria a Tuscania Classica osteria a Tuscania in posizione molto bella (piazzetta adiacente ad un parco stupendo) e sotto a una pergola meravigliosa. Pasta fatta in casa come gnocchi che consiglio, ottime polpette. La prenotazione obbligatoria perché è sempre pieno, si mangia come a casa.
