Trattoria da peppe In Napoli

We went for lunch on a Thursday and the place was empty, then after a while another table arrived, again with 2 people like us. We asked for an Italian-style fry with all the necessary products but it was not possible and in the end we were satisfied with only having arancini and scagliozzi (fried polenta). Good but really poor in extra seasoning so for better or worse with little flavor, arancino with only rice and scagliozzo with only polenta no cheeses, cured meats, peas etc. We got 6 and they were small. Afterwards we ordered a carbonara and 2 cutlets (which however were off the menu and they made them especially for us). They brought the schnitzel to my partner first, cold but good. After about 10 minutes I got the carbonara and after about 3 minutes I got the schnitzel again which I had to let cool since I was still eating the carbonara. The cutlet in general however was quite good, not too thin with a thin breading that had fallen off in some parts, not too crunchy and certainly decent meat. The problem was the carbonara which wasn't carbonara: it was spaghetti with a melted yolk inside without any cheese or bacon/guanciale and in addition to being really mediocre they also surprised me a lot. We also took a small coke and a bottle of water. Final bill: €36, slightly expensive considering 1 and a half dishes and 3 lightly seasoned fries each.

A small, economical, welcoming family-run trattoria. Excellent food...we returned twice in one week...I recommend booking.

All excellent, typical Neapolitan cuisine done to perfection.

In this place we ate traditional dishes which we really appreciated. The lemon tart is excellent. Kindness and hospitality completed the beautiful evening. Advised!

Real Neapolitan home cooking found by chance while we were passing by. Really low price: 13 euros each for a dish and a side dish. Wine and water of course.

Early December, family trip (11 people) we went to Armando around 2pm, we were welcomed in the best possible way and the dishes he recommended to us (we are Ligurians) were excellent and suitable for each of the family. I recommend the restaurant for the quality, courtesy and price. Optimal

Pochi tavoli perciò meglio prenotare , cucina a vista , menù giornaliero con specialità tipiche napoletane : proprietario ( Armando ) , disponibile e garbato . Piatti preparati al momento ,porzioni giuste e di buona qualità : vino ,dolce ,amaro e prezzo nella norma in base a quanto ordinato .
