I was there last night with a German girl who had been picked up shortly before. truly top food, honorable mention is the cream pie, cheese and pepper and fillet with truffle. All very tasty. Very nice waitress with short hair and good service!

We had dinner today here today. The meat would have been very good. If there hadn't been a lot of sinews in…. The waiter not so good in English. So misunderstood us a bit. However, very lovely atmosphere and very fresh/cutely decorated toilet.

We went here for dinner after hearing Franchino and Giulia's review, which this time too was invaluable. We called at 7.15pm and there was no room, but the owner kindly called us back as soon as one became available for the 9.30pm shift. The environment is small and intimate, which allows the staff to always be ready to satisfy requests, and guarantees products of incredible quality. We took a peposo and a Florentine, both amazing. The bill is in line with expectations, average considering that you find yourself eating very high quality meat in the center of Florence: it is unlikely to go below 50 euros per head, but it is right that you pay for quality. So everything was perfect.

I went there with friends for my son's birthday. The environment is small but nice, we are in the center 50 meters from Santa Maria Novella. Their policy is to have two shifts 7.30pm and 9.30pm. We went to the first one and were told that the peposo wasn't ready yet and the meatballs weren't there. Taking into account that they don't have 50 different dishes, the question of how the kitchen is organized arises spontaneously. The friendly staff until 9.30pm then off one after another. For 8 people, two starters, 5 or 6 first courses, 8 second courses of meat, 6 desserts, wine (50 euros), liqueur offered I think: 491.00 euros The food is good, you pay 15/20% more If you want peposo, you either order it or go to the second round

Cicalone è uno di quei ristoranti dal quale una volta uscito, non vedi l'ora di tornare. Scoperto grazie ad un noto youtuber ho deciso di provarlo una sera a cena insieme alla mia ragazza. Il locale è molto carino, non molto grande, ma adatto per una cena o un pranzo in piccoli gruppi o per coppie. Abbiamo cenato scegliendo due antipasti, una bella bistecca fiorentina e due cheesecake. Lo sformatino di verdure e la trifolata di zucchine hanno ben introdotto una delle migliori bistecche assaggiate a Firenze. Una carne tenerissima tanto da tagliarsi quasi senza l'ausilio del coltello. A concludere due ottime cheesecake, una al cioccolato e una al caramello. Buonissimo anche il vino della casa.

Locale piccolo ma particolare gestito nel modo più toscano possibile, lo si respira nell’aria! Abbiamo mangiato degli ottimi tortelli ripieni di ragù e delle buone pappardelle. Il vino della casa aveva un tocco in più! La classica bistecca fiorentina cotta al sangue aveva un’ottima qualità della carne così come la cottura. Si notavano tutte le striature di grasso, segno di una perfetta marezzatura. Apprezzabile il dolce, ma non riesco a dare il massimo dei voti dato che l’antipasto ma anche i primi erano un po’ ridotti nelle porzioni. Nel complesso lo consiglio vivamente!

03/05/2024: Excellent quality Tuscan cuisine restaurant. Comfortable and informal environment. Excellent for quality business lunches and get-togethers with friends. Tripe/lampredotto is highly recommended in the various recipes.
11/04/2024: Great place! We were served by a very kind and helpful waitress. She had a very good English and explained to us what's in every meal and recommended typical local dishes. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere in this place. We would definitely come back.

07/04/2024: Do you want to eat well or do you want to get likes? They are two different things... Retro atmosphere, like the old trattorias were, warm and welcoming. Whoever welcomes you does so with a smile, which is not to be taken for granted, with friendly and professional staff. You eat on beautiful white tablecloths using cotton napkins. An atmosphere from times gone by that is satisfying, forget your cell phone, the walls are thick and the signal is vacant but believe me it is used to enjoy the dishes without distractions. Fine Tuscan cuisine, where flavors reign supreme, wonderful Tuscan crostini (like my mother and grandmother made), tasty first courses and finally perfectly cooked pasta (that doesn't stick to your teeth) and super seasoned. The peposo.. Made as God commands... Too bad foreigners (Americans) don't try what they don't know and stop at chicken.... They don't know what they're missing
05/04/2024: Opened in 1980 by Ruggero Corsi, at the edge of Florence near Porta Romana, this tiny Trattoria is locally loved thanks to a focus on traditional Tuscan cuisine plus an extensive cellar of affordable Wines to match. Not an easy place to walk-in, the L-shaped footprint holding perhaps two dozen diners, guests instead confirm reservations made by phone before occupying wood seats, a pour of house Chianti soon to follow alongside three types of Bread in a basket. Wood-lined with white tablecloths, tables nearly touching, Trattoria Ruggero proposes a seasonal menu focused on history and season, a plate of Charcuterie plus chopped Liver Toast similar to others while a Salad of Chicories finds bitterness balanced by Anchovy Dressing. Predictably offering Tuscan T-Bones served bloody, a sizable cut for six at an adjacent table, those seeking something lighter should consider Tortellini served in clear Broth with depth or hand-cut Tagliatelle served simply amidst Aspargus and Butter. Tempted by another Steak, more affordable than most, it was on the recommendation of neighbors that spoon-tender Roast Pork instead arrived as Secondi with a side of Potatoes, the extra capacity saved for crumbly Cake and a caramelized Apple from the oven soaked in Syrup.
