Casa del Vino In Firenze

After a long day as a tourist you stop for a drink. The place is small and has no seats (what a shame) but you stop anyway because it was recommended by friends. You enter, say hello and ask what wine they have. With the bubble only a trebbiano. (Really? Just one wine?) ok. Still white? Without looking at you or speaking, they point you to 4 bottles. (Sorry, but what do I know?? Even though I'm a sommelier I don't know all the labels in the world by heart!) I ask for an explanation. The guy looks at me annoyed and mumbles the names of the grapes. In the end I took two glasses and decided to leave. I don't know if he was having a bad day or felt in tune with Hemingway but there are definitely better places in Florence.

Excellent sandwiches and choice of wines

The place is small and nice. They serve some appetizers with is super nice with the wine. The wine itself is limited if you drink just a glass and they did not want really to tell us the differences between the bottles.

Amazing place for wine lovers, owner is a character.

Pleasant crostini, characteristic environment, typical Tuscan dishes, wide and variable wine selection.

Locali così se ne trovano veramente pochi, soprattutto in una zona super turistica come San Lorenzo. Ottima proposta gastronomica e una selezione di vini primissimo livello. L’unico rammarico è non averlo conosciuto prima! Straconsigliato

Tried a few different wines here, they were all fantastic

İ eat 40 days dry aged steak it was perfect 👌 employers are wery friendly , when i come back Firenze again i will come back again this restaurant definetly👌

Best lunch spot near the major attractions, delicious panini e crostini. Not too busy and very lovely owners. We love lunch wine!
