What can I say about Cantina del Ponte other than it is fantastic. It is perfectly situated in the middle of town. We have been going there for a few years now, and we consistently have had great meals and experiences. That is a testimony to the hard work and attention to detail of their staff.
The food, the atmosphere, and especially the people are all wonderful. Whenever we go there, we are well are greeted with kindness and care. We look forward to going back very soon.

Wine shop restaurant in the center of Cocconato d'Asti. Warm and characteristic environment, I think it was an ancient historic café. We ate there twice, for lunch, and then returned for dinner, how satisfied we were. We are not big drinkers, but the wines are excellent and local. We tried the schiacciola, a local focaccia stuffed with excellent local products, we tried it with local cheeses, raschierà, robiola, sausage and raw meat. Abundant and delicious fillings. Great attention to the products. The first courses we tried were amazing, ravioli with sausage ragù and the coccinotti, ravioli stuffed with robiola cheese and raw ham with hazelnuts and butter, a poem! Finally, the delicious desserts, made by them, I recommend the homemade gianduiotti and the panna cotta is also very good! Well done! It is not for nothing that Piedmont is the region where you eat best in Italy. The value for money is also excellent.

Wine shop with characteristic restaurant in the small historic center of Cocconato. I recommend you try the Barbera Maciot, a very good biodynamic wine they produce, which we had already discovered at Cascina Rosengana, from the same family, even better if enjoyed with ravioli with sausage ragout. Liked it a lot. I also really appreciated the garlic and anchovy "schiciola".. yum! Super friendly and helpful staff, and we were there on a holiday day, not too quiet. The only flaw in my opinion is the dessert, little choice and not up to the standard of the rest.

I took my mother to lunch to celebrate her birthday, she had never been there, the starter with spelled and trout pie was a surprise of flavors and the agnolotti with sausage ragout were special, tasty but delicate. The panna cotta with chocolate was an excellent ending to a truly excellent meal.

Nothing serious overall, but the experience isn't entirely convincing. The leap between the "familiarity" of the outdoor area and the bar counter is too abrupt, compared to the somewhat forced sophistication of the dining room. The particular choice of eliminating the tablecloth, but also the underplate or placemat, limiting the protection of the cutlery with a steel cutlery underlay and that's it, occasionally sees one's fork rolling on the bare table. Decent dishes, but a little too salty. And, in any case, a little too expensive for originality and quality. Impeccable service
