Calò In Trieste

I just had dinner at Callo, The food was amazing, I sincerely recommend the seafood pasta. It was so authentic and amazing with fresh seafood and we also had an amazing pizza. The place is a real small Italian restaurant, just wonderful. I truly recommend coming here for dinner. Or server Endrit was delightful and a true professional 😁

Quality food and service for right price in rather compact space inside. I suppose outside tables in warm weather solve that problem. Great location.

Cold windy afternoon in Trieste, the Bora blowing and hot food was needed. Almost every restaurant refused us with excuses (even if they still said 'aperto' on the door: we were too late, kitchen closed etc etc. This little place on Trieste's seafront gave us a warm welcome and big smiles. What a difference from other surly responses! We had a decent house white, a simple spaghetti arabiatta, linguine with clams and mussels; it all came with delicious pizza bread drizzled with garlic oil, topped with cheese. Comfort food at its best. Then a super tiramisu and a Sicilian classic cannoli. My Italian being slightly rusty I ordered 2 instead of 1. Realising my mistake the owner took one away, and as we left he presented me with the additional cannoli as a present to take home. Decent service and honest smiles with good homemade food, always wins over pretention. They won us over and we'll return.

Non ti aspetteresti molto da un locale gestito da personale multietnico ma che propone cucina siciliana ubicato in piena zona turistica. Ed invece i piatti erano molto buoni e abbondanti. Deliziosa la pasta alla Norma e anche le focaccine calde che ti portano per accompagnare le insalatone. Prezzi nella norma a parte 1.8 euro per un caffè preso al banco. Uno di noi 5 non ha ne' bevuto ne' ordinato cibo ma ugualmente ha dovuto pagare 2 euro di coperto ... perché?????
