Caffe' Verbano In Cannobio

The pizza was topped with high-quality ingredients, but unfortunately it was a bit bland. But that wasn't a problem, there was salt and pepper and hot oil so you could season it yourself. There are four stars for service because the wrong wine was delivered and then as a bottle and not as a glass.

Prices need to be lowered, food is good, service ok. More staff is needed.

The location is very nice, right on the lake, and thanks to the heating columns you can sit outside even in cooler temperatures. The mood is somewhat dampened by the exhausting music. The Moretti on tap was cool and fresh as it should be. I wasn't happy with the lasagne al forno. It didn't come to me straight from the Forno, sizzling in its baking pan, as I had imagined, but had spread out on a flat plate where it had already become quite lukewarm. Their cheese surface also seemed warmed rather than baked. The additional Parmesan cheese sprinkled decoratively on top doesn't help much either.

Fine food and drinks with friendly service, in a positive atmosphere.

Poi abbiamo trovato la piazza grande ed alcuni locali aperti, ho scelto il Verbano e siamo entrati… L’impatto è stato positivo, fuori si gelava e ci hanno accolti con il sorriso, un tavolo per 3 subito trovato! Abbiamo poi ordinato da un menu ricco di proposte e la tabella del giorno con altri piatti, preparati dalla cuoca Ucraina bravissima. Con calma ci hanno servito gli antipasti, con ancora più calma sono poi arrivate le altre ordinazioni e tutti abbiamo apprezzato il cibo. Anche il vinello della casa non era affatto male. La cosa più simpatica e’ la allegra collaborazione tra i ragazzi del servizio, tutti stranieri e tutti di nazionalità diverse, ma sempre cordiali e sorridenti. E’ stato un piacere scambiare due chiacchiere con loro ed abbiamo pagato un conto molto corretto. Complimenti a Claudia che ha saputo selezionare le persone giuste, ritorneremo e lo consiglieremo!

For the first time in a bar I drank coffee in the mocha. I ate excellent and genuine food. I advise. Very kind staff

Gutes Restaurant, welches auch außerhalb der Saison geöffnet hat. Wollten ursprünglich in die Sportsbar, das Café hat uns dann doch mehr angesprochen. Pizza hätte noch etwas länger im Ofen bleiben können, die Vorspeisen waren selbst zu zweit sehr reichlich.

Glutenfreie Pizza etwas kleiner als die normale, aber ausreichend. Preise pro Pizza zwischen €9-17 plus €2 für GF. Ambiente: drinnen etwas laute Musik, wenig Platz Service: anfangs reserviert, dann überschwänglich freundlich
