Bistrò Miranda In Orvieto

I came here after failing to make a reservation at a nearby Michelin restaurant, and the meal was very delicious and the service was good, so I was satisfied. The aperitif bread was delicious (it was so delicious that I ate it all and they gave it to me again), and the quail eggs that were served before the starter I ordered were pretty and delicious. The lobster I ordered as a starter (this one was smaller than a baby lobster, and there was only one) and the shrimp dish were delicious, with just the right amount of elasticity and softness. I was traveling from Sicily and the steak here was the best. There was even a lot of it. The salmon dish is soft, not dry, and the potatoes are delicious. The cod dish was a bit salty for our taste. Most of the time, I don't order dessert because I'm full and it's too sweet, but I ordered it because I was curious about the delicious food. The ice cream and custard were good, and the chocolate cake was delicious and not too sweet.

Wonderful little cafe with amazing pasta and service.

Delicious vegan lunch with pumpkin, orange, mustard and amaretti soup, baked potatoes and sautéed cabbage with garlic and chilli. My partner ordered a revisited cacio e pepe which he didn't like: the staff was very kind as they offered another dish and above all they didn't charge the cost of the dish. We were very surprised and grateful for the undue and unexpected gesture. We sincerely thank the staff for their care and kindness. Advised!

This place is truly unexpected, at the end of the historic center, a little hidden, but a nice surprise! Fair prices and above average food. The dessert was delicious, the Miranda cake highly recommended

Il voto sarebbe 3.5. Premetto che non ho mangiato male, però probabilmente ho scelto un primo che mi aspettavo forse diverso: gli umbricelli ai due caci. Ho trovato il sapore davvero troppo dolciastro e in generale un po' "mappazzone" anche nella presentazione. Le polpette, per quanto semplici, dal sapore veramente buono. C'è stato anche un altro piccolo imprevisto, ma in parte per colpa mia. Come accompagnamento al secondo ho preso una "schiacciata di patate". In toscana per schiacciata si intende la focaccia... invece erano delle patate... schiacciate. Lo scrivo in caso qualcuno stesse per commettere il mio stesso errore.

Ci siamo fermati in questo bistrot per un pranzo semplice, al termine di una mattinata intensa, e siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti da pietanze tradizionali ma rivisitate con gusto, curate e armoniose. E dalla simpatia e gentilezza delle padrone di casa. Musica rilassante e tempi comunque giusti, nonostante un cartello specifichi che la cucina del bistrot non è per chi ha fretta perché fatta sul momento. Quasi dimenticavo: come dolce abbiamo preso la coppa Corrado: un'esperienza da provare assolutamente!
