Alice Ristorante In Milano

Super dinner in this beautiful restaurant where nothing is given to chance, from the cutlery to the tables to the kitchen to the ceramics, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail and designed by great designers. The dishes are super, everything magnificent. The environment is certainly formal, but not too much. There is no "heavy" atmosphere of other starred hotels. The quality/price ratio is top.

We returned to Viva last December for my birthday. Previously I personally had the opportunity to dine at the restaurant on the occasion of corporate events. Fantastic location, modern colors and furnishings, on the top floor of Eataly with a large panoramic window overlooking the arch and the Piazzale. Spectacular for both more intimate occasions and more formal and business occasions. The staff are kind, attentive and fully available to customers for any need, advice or explanation. In all three previous visits we have always opted for the tasting menu format and have always been satisfied. Super deserved star.

Ristorante stellato all'interno di Eataly (ma si trasferirà sul lago di Como a breve). Arredato sobriamente ma elegantemente, i posti più belli sono quelli vicini alla vetrata che dà sulla piazza e sull'arco. Servizio gentile e attento. Piatti curati e fantadiosi, con particolare attenzione a quelli di mare. Alcuni mi sono piaciuti davvero tanto, altri li ho trovati più ordinari. In ogni caso, è una esperienza visiva e gustativa che vale il prezzo non certo contenuto.

Tried it some time ago. The restaurant is located on the second floor inside Eataly Smeraldo, a beautiful location with windows directly overlooking the square where the Porta Nuova Bastions are. The view is also decidedly satisfied by the interior furnishings which are very well cared for and the touch of style continues in the "plates" on which the dishes are served. All very sophisticated. However, a small negative note is the atmosphere which, for a place of this type, very elegant, exclusive and which has a rather high target, I found a bit "chaotic" and not very private. The menu gives you the option of choosing à la carte or being guided by 2 tasting menus, I opt for the first choice and order 2 raw dishes and then finish with a cheese plate. These are my impressions: The first ALICE MIXED RAW COFFEE was composed of various tartares and carpaccios of the catch of the day with seafood combined with fruit and vegetables. Definitely well prepared dish and fantastic combinations. I accompanied this dish with a glass of Franciacorta bubbles, a 2010 Nature from Barone Pizzini. Among those tasted during the evening, this is the one that impressed me the least. Perhaps the bubbles are more sensitive if they come from an already opened bottle, even if perfectly preserved, but I found it a little empty. The second raw course, called CEDRO E FASSONE, was composed of carpaccio, tartare and diaphragm of Fassone beef with marrow, roasted vegetables, marrow mayonnaise and cedar mustard, all served on a slightly warm cedar cutting board which gave off a fantastic aroma of citron which was then found in the mustard. Truly a nice idea! I found the combination with pure Frappato della Valle dell'Acate very valid. Young and fresh wine and perfectly in harmony with the dish. Finally I finished with a palette of Roccaverano robiola with cherry tomato jam, basil and citrus powder. Here the pairing left me stunned: a BAROLO SERRALUNGA 2009 from Fontanafredda, practically a "child", but the way it went well with this cream cheese was simply fantastic. I always thought that Barolo called for more mature cheeses, but evidently, focusing on youth, the combination was a happy one. Once again I am happy to note the versatility of this UNIQUE wine in the world! Other things that pleasantly impressed me about the evening were the platter with different and delicious types of bread, very varied and abundant; the welcome appetizers, which were absolutely a "dish in themselves"! and the service was decidedly excellent and professional.

It’s a very “young” Michelin restaurant. Food: very creative , playful, and modern. most of the dishes are memorable. Portion: Huge!!!!! Service : good but not warm. Location: is not easy to find the place ( at the 2nd floor of a supermarket) Price: average Michelin * If you are seeking for a non-traditional Michelin, it is the place you should go. definitely worth it!

Stiamo parlando di un ristorante stellato, quindi le aspettative sul cibo erano piuttosto alte - e non sono state disattese! Abbiamo provato il menu degustazione "Storia", con i vini abbinati, ed è stata una bellissima esperienza culinaria e sensoriale. Servizio attento, cordiale e molto puntuale. So che il ristorante si sposterà a Como a breve, quindi, milanesi, vi consiglio di visitarlo!

I'm never a fan of michelin restaurants only cuz I lean towards hearty, whole meals over ingredients that r overly though manually processed/ fermented. I also no longer enjoy the imperative of having a captain explaining to me at length the dish they served me. I just wana eat and be left alone with my companions. But the craft along with these practices confirm the stars that are awarded and Viva is v affordable in offering customers this experience fully. So if u r in Milan and wana have a michelin experience, viva is a wise choice.

Piccolo lunch in settimana,ma il servizio impeccabile ,anche x un solo piatto.

Ambiente POP, colorato e giovane! apprezzatissimo lo stile della sala, raccolta ma con tavoli ben distanziati, cucina a vista e possibilità di privé. Menù interessante, anche se le aspettative partivano già molto alte. Antipasti piacevoli, risotto eccezionale, pesce cotto alla perfezione, pane di grano arso sublime, dessert invece purtroppo completamente bocciato. Servizio professionale, giovane, piuttosto formale ma preparato.

Dopo l'ottima esperienza della cena di Natale dell'anno scorso, anche quest'anno siamo tornati al VIVA. E anche quest'anno ci siamo trovati benissimo.
