Real grandmother's house. A lunch that is a discovery; very honest price especially for the place we are in (crazy view). Daniele and Alice are two golden people with a passion and dedication not only for their grandmother's home cooking but also for their guests to be envied! I highly recommend it if you are in the Greve area or surrounding areas. it's worth even an hour's drive to reach this place, just like we did ❤️

I loved a small and very pretty town with views of vineyards and our surprise was finding this beautiful and cozy restaurant with unbeatable views and spectacular traditional and very homemade food

We stumbled upon it practically by chance. The place is splendid even in bad weather. Davide is an exquisite person who immediately makes you feel at home with his story. Food at km 0, extraordinary. We'll be back as soon as possible! ♥️

What a gem! Beautiful views and delicious food at a small and local restaurant with a fixed menu. Great for couples and small families, but be prepared to wait.

06/04/2024: Named for the nearby bridge Gelateria La Carraia has been serving Florence since 1990, a second location doing little to attenuate queues for Gelato made the old way and served by pleasant staff for just €1 per spatula. Family owned with a small footprint, just seventeen flavors in metal canisters behind glass, guests make their selections amidst striped wallpaper before taking cones or cups outside to enjoy along the river. Popular for Semifreddo, though no less so for the Gelato itself, fans will find the base creamy but light and whether flecked with Coconut or harnessing Nuts each bite tastes pure thanks to a lack of preservatives or excess Sugar.

05/06/2024: Updated in May of 2024. The review below from 2022 is no longer accurate. The restaurant has shifted to a somewhat of a fine dining concept; however, basically it's similar dishes as before, but at half the portion, but much higher price. It now seems to be more of a tourist trap, so I can no longer recommend it. Review from 2022: Simply excellent. We went twice and had some of our favorite meals on our trip to Italy. The pappardelle and the venison filet dishes are highly recommended! Another nice aspect is that they split the dishes at no additional cost, which makes for a nice and presentable dinner if you would like to share and try multiple dishes as a couple.
29/05/2024: Writing the review to push the rating as close to 5/5 as possible as the chef and sommelier and the staff totally deserve it!!! Best restaurant in the whole world on my list (not quite a world traveler but have been to a few restaurants) - EXCELLENT FOOD & EXCELLENT SERVICE. Every dish is beautifully executed - sophisticated yet preserving the materials' favor. While the food, decor and service are classy, the whole experience is very down-to-earth like your neighborhood restaurant with nothing pretentious. Not recommending any specific dish as every dish is recommended! I tried quite a few on the limited menu (which is always a good sign btw!) by dining multiple times.
