Al kilimangiaro In Matera

Don't be fooled by the slightly off-center location or the style of the restaurant, this place is a little gem. The staff are absolutely adorable and they take on the challenge of bringing all diets together at the same table by offering vegetarian and even vegan options, going so far as to offer up to 4 types of pizza bases (flour, kamit, flour complete..) and revisiting classics of Italian gastronomy such as Milanese escalope with tempeh. And the Italian wines offered are very good and at reasonable prices. In short, a place where I will return if I am in Matera again.

We sat at the same table on different evenings. The tablecloth that had a stain on Friday retained the stain the following Monday. Good pizzas but perhaps the vegan ones a little less although they had a good quality-price ratio.

Well what can I say I'm just going to go there again and it was all good price and quality are fine 😎

Warm and welcoming environment, extremely kind staff. Space food arrived quickly, hot and of excellent quality. Not a high bill at all.
