Very quiet place set inside an old building. Tasty food and impeccable service. The waitresses were nice and the owner very helpful. Too bad we were in a hurry but we will return calmly also because it has some excellent wines

Una volta non mancavo mai di fare quattro passi in. Chiavenna storica. È stipenda. Il ristorante Il Cenacolo era meta finale delle mie passeggiate chiavennasche. Ottima cucina. Servizio impeccabile. I gestori più che gentili. Io conobbi Claudio il caposala più efficiente del mondo. Diventammo amici. Non riusciva ad andare in pensione perché trovare gente di stile nel lavoro oggi è difficile. L’ultima volta la gentilissima proprietaria di Schaffausen mi spiegò che finalmente era in pensione. Consiglio il Ristorante Il Cenacolo molto molto caldamente . P. S. D’estate chiedete di cenare o pranzare sulla terrazza. Le gole del fiume Mera corrono li sotto. Imperdibili

Carta semplice ma con piatti "intelligenti", proposta attenta alla tradizione ma non solo. Grandi materie prime (mangiato un salmone eccellente ed ottimi funghi porcini). Consigliato

28/02/2024: If you come down from the Upper Valley it is definitely a great place to stop and eat. Very large place, there is no risk of being left without a table, fast service and very good and light pizza. The flavors of the pizzas are also a plus, not just the usual ones!

23/03/2024: Even though we hadn't booked, we were warmly welcomed by the staff of the Gagin restaurant. We started with an appetizer of Valtellina sciatt and bresaola, both excellent. Afterwards we tasted manfrigoli and pizzoccheri, what can I say? Both courses D-I-V-I-N-E! Excellent quality of ingredients and the ladies Chefs really very short! We then continued, now sated, with a taste of a very characteristic second course, the tzigoiner. It exceeded our expectations. We recommend this small but welcoming restaurant, there is a family atmosphere. The waiter in the room was extremely kind and helpful. Ps even the house wine was excellent! A red cabernet Congratulations to all the staff, we will definitely be back! Sara and Eleonora
