Very beautiful and relaxing location. Outdoor dinner, immersed in the garden and centuries-old lawn. Very attentive service and excellent quality in the dishes. The background music was also much appreciated. It's worth it. Well done!

Villa Ranuzzi Cospi in Budrio, also known as Accademia dei Notturni, is a beautiful eighteenth-century villa located in the countryside of Bologna. I should start by saying that I had my wedding reception here several years ago, in a refined and exclusive setting, and, seeing that it was now open even just for dinner, I wanted to come back with a bit of curiosity, hoping to find everything unchanged. Honestly, I saw this location transformed, becoming a bit too commercial. The immense well-kept park that I remembered is now gone, the grass has given way to gravel and earth. Even the central fountain is no longer present in front of the villa, facing the portico. In the summer, you dine outside in a corner of a neglected former garden, with the earth under your feet, trattoria tables, festival tents, almost like a market, lights from a village party, which completely destroy the idea of the villa and what it represented in the past. Cabaret-like entertainment music makes a place that once shone even more like any other. We had a decent dinner, but overall the disappointment remained. Only the interior of the villa holds the memory. Even the splendid frescoed portico that opens under the immense arches, at the back of the building, no longer arouses the same amazement, since the view is interrupted by the dark green umbrellas, open just like in any other place, the access steps that led to the terrace with balustrade are now all gray, it should be cleaned. I don't think I'll return. It's a real shame, this location has become something else, elegance no longer exists.
