Nice place, elegant and romantic with soft lights. Dishes of the highest quality, both for the raw materials used and for the preparation. Excellent service. Price range more than justified.

Lasciatevi trasportare…qualcuno vi dice cosa mangiare e come. Voi fatelo. Bevete bollicine e fatevi trasportare. Le cose sono diverse da come appaiono ma non lasciatevi ingannare: la realtà è sempre una sola. E la realtà è che il cibo qui è superbo. Non è solo “mangiare” è come respirare allora incontaminata o guardare la vastità dell’oceano. Immenso indimenticabile.

I want to share my experience from 1Q84. I made a reservation for Omakase routes for Valentine's evening. I found the place easily and with a bit of difficulty parking in the square. The restaurant has a secret place format with an elegant but at the same time familiar atmosphere. Furnished with very good taste, I really appreciated the paintings, the music in the background and the light in the room. The menu was really extensive and included: - Welcome entree consisting of macarons with prawn tartare and fish mayo, tofu and hake with Daikon root. Well balanced with the peak on the macaron, sweet and very intense. - Finely sliced ​​sea bass usuzukuri with green apple vinaigrette. Very delicate with the apple almost taking over the fish. - Tonkatsu with tuna tartare and caviar - Oyster in denkagu sauce with spring onion and shot of cognac, truly very particular in flavour. - Sashimi with very fresh cuts such as scallops. - Black Cod Miso Zuke, a ribs from the sea. - Very good tuna nigiri with some ingredients such as wasabi and ginger which are completely different from the commercial ones we are usually used to. - Glazed Eel Temaki - Sweet with crunchy and Yuzu seasoning - Small pastries including the delicious walnut brittle. You might wonder why if I'm so happy with the menu I only give 4 stars, well the main problem concerns the service. The restaurant manager (manager?) is very passionate and the waiters also behaved with great courtesy and friendliness but for a restaurant that presents itself as decorated and aspires to make a leap in quality it is not possible to ask customers at what point in the path you are on. It was pointed out to us that they went ballistic and served us nigiri twice which we calmly said we had already tasted. The justification given to us was that it was a special evening, however I don't think 16 seats are that demanding to manage. We can find other small errors in the return of the coats: we were given a different coat three times when a token with the table number would have been enough. Usually I'm not so fussy but for the price paid of €110 (omakase experience) per person excluding wine and water, my attention is higher than normal. I don't have the presumption of demolishing other people's work since the food was very good and the evening was very pleasant, but I want to offer a starting point for improvement and I will be happy to return to try the à la carte menu again.

A unique experience of its kind, thanks to the possibility of enjoying the empty room and the total attention of the restaurant manager, simply for having been able to appreciate the dishes even more with their descriptions and the quality of the ingredients (with very pleasant jazz music in the background which completed the atmosphere). The place combines some traditional musts of Japanese cuisine with innovative combinations that I have rarely found elsewhere (despite being a lover of sushi and the like), but without covering the fish, rather accentuating its delicacy, as well as features such as the original wasabi (forget the conventional green paste with an artificial flavour) and the much more delicate ginger. Preceded by the house welcome appetizer, we had two appetizers (Japanese toast with tuna tartare and caviar and wagyu tartare not from Kobe, but continental), some sashimi and nigiri, concluding with the dessert of chocolate mousse with garnished meringues with umeboshi (fermented plum) whey. As an alternative to the á la carte menu (which we opted for), two tasting menus are available. Prices that reflect the quality of the dishes and, above all, the careful management of this gem set in a fifteenth-century building in Villaricca. Absolutely recommended and worth visiting again.

Authentic Japanese cuisine place, very nice, excellent food. We chose the tasting menu at €110 per person, very good but with very small quantities. 12% service is not acceptable in an already high tasting menu, which cost more than the bottle of wine. Very good but poorly structured dishes.

Una piacevole scoperta Location elegante e raffinata con un atmosfera a dir poco rilassante... La gentilezza e l'eleganza del proprietario e del personale, l'ottimo cibo, ben presentato. Abbiamo apprezzato tutto dall' antipasto al dolce e soprattutto l'ottimo thè homemade offertoci con il dolce.. posto consigliatissimo

08/03/2024: We stayed in the old town in Napoli for a week. This place was similarly priced to its neighbors but stood apart in its well prepared food. The only place my wife and I came back for a second time was this place because we had great memories of the good food! Customer service was similar to other neighborhood restaurants: nothing over the top. Inside, it's honestly a bit underwhelming in its decor, but that's perfectly fine. We're not here to be impressed by the tables and walls, we're here for the food :). This place really does feel like one of those 'hole-in-the-wall' places you rave to your friends about once you get back home. In total we ordered pasta vongole (twice), grilled shrimp, four seasons pizza, and margarita buffalina. Each dish was top tier for it's price. The pizza was very well prepared with a light and fluffy crust and well-cooked, but not burnt base. I've also since had pasta vongole at 3 other restaurants and while each dish is not perfect - Osteria has had the least amount of broken shell and unopened clams when compared to my other experiences. Very yummy! Wonderful experience, well deserved 5/5.
