28/04/2024: We came across this restaurant by chance... and it was a pleasant surprise. Good food and very humane and courteous staff. Our son was having the usual tantrums while having dinner and one of the waiters resolved the situation making him happy. Special furnishings. We really liked it.

03/04/2024: We were there on Easter Sunday and only discovered the restaurant by chance. Despite the low season, there was a notice on the door saying "The restaurant is full". It can't be that bad then. We tried it anyway without a reservation because we didn't want to keep looking in the rain. Restaurant was actually full, mostly Italians and a few Austrians. Nevertheless, the owner was able to get a table ready for us after a few minutes. Already the first positive experience. Until then, we enjoyed a gin and tonic at the bar. The menu is not very large in terms of both selection and format. The most important thing: three T-bone steaks of different origins for 8EUR/100g, which I don't think is exorbitant. You can choose bottled wine directly from the shelf, which I think is very good; I always prefer the tactile experience of a bottle to a wine list. Prices around 30-40EUR. The next positive experience. When I was choosing the wine, I discovered the highlight: the steaks (and fish) are prepared on an open fire. The only point of criticism: the side vegetables came a little too early and were therefore only lukewarm when the steak arrived. There was a large selection of desserts, tiramisu is always good and the crème brûlée came to the table scorching, espresso was excellent as it is almost everywhere in Italy. The conclusion was a nice chat with the boss (thanks again for the cake and grappa!) What can I say, completely satisfied and I wish we had discovered the place earlier. In summer I would definitely recommend booking a few days in advance.

22/04/2024: Came by chance to this place in a secluded historic corner of Trieste, very elegant and refined interior environment. Service prepared in impeccable service, dishes to taste with food cooked with great professionalism , you can see that this place by looking at the service and the placing of the dishes on the table with great elegance. Very varied starters with excellent combinations from mackerel to sea bass fillet or cod. I ate a second course of very fresh octopus cooked on the grill paired with porcini mushrooms with a pumpkin base. I have to compliment the pairing, it was excellent and perfectly cooked as I am a modest taster traveling around Italy. I must say excellent wine cellar, both domestic and foreign from the best wineries or brands. Price for what we ate and drank was fair Highly recommended

The super tiramisu ++++ The service was attentive and fast, the staff friendly and pleasant The environment reflects the trattorias of the past: welcoming, homely, checkered tablecloth, simple furnishings. There is an excellent quality/price ratio. We will be back, highly recommended Closed on Saturday and Sunday
