14/04/2024: Never have I had this unpleasant of an experience at a restaurant. My wife and I asked to sit inside with air conditioning because it was warm, but they pointed to outside seats immediately without giving a reason. We wanted to go already, but nothing else was open nearby. The staff was pushing after a few seconds already to order drinks and food, even before we got the menu. We already overheard a woman of the staff talking bad about us in Italian about the fact we spoke English (she didnt know we could understand since we ordered in English), just because we were speaking English. I went inside to wash my hands and heard someone screaming in the restaurant. I thought there was a fight, but the owner was actually screaming on his phone during a call, WHILE SMOKING INSIDE THE RESTAURANT. He continued to call like this for a few minutes, and we wanted to leave already before ordering. But since we were really hungry, we stayed just to order food quickly. We ordered a sandwich for 5 euros, but we just got a small bruschetta, and we were really surprised about it since it was so bad and didnt fill us at all. Before even asking for the check, the waiter already put it on our table, not looking or talking at us. Total order was 20 euros, of which they included a mandatory 'service tip' of 8 EUROS. We said they made a mistake, because the tip should be optional. The waiter said it was mandatory and insisted that it is normal like that. We told him the tip should be optional, and it is ridiculous that the tip is almost as much as the low quality food costs. He kept insisting that we should just pay it and the woman behind him was laughing at us and talking bad about us again in Italian. We asked for the manager and said to the waiter if he wouldnt lower it, we would go to the authorities. Only then he seemed to realize that we would not let ourselves be scammed by him. After he said he would lower the tip to 3 euros, even though he should have gotten nothing, since what they provided could not be called 'service'. We did not feel welcome at all, please do yourself a favor and dont go here. In the attached picture proof with the check, where he rewrote the tip to go from 8 euros to 3 euros
