09/05/2024: My husband and I spent 10 days in Italy, and this was, without a doubt, the best meal we had on our trip! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was phenomenal. They even provided a shuttle to and from the restaurant since we were staying on the far end of Positano. Definitely make this a stop if you’re in the area!

04/05/2024: Fabulous feast worth the detour and for everyone who wants to experience a real “plate upgrade” vs the typical, Amalfi harbor tourist joint. Sit close to the open kitchen to watch the maestro of the pasta station do his magic - organized, calm, impressively effortless.

26/05/2024: This was the most elegant and amazing meal we had the in Italy! The staff was exceptional, so attentive to every detail. The food was as beautiful as it was delicious! The lamb was perfectly prepared and the calamari was fabulous! Portions were perfect, not large. The dessert was incredible! Highly recommended!

07/04/2024: Incredible experience and atmosphere in Positano. Greeted by the most friendliest staff whom gave the best recommendations. My friend and I were treated like family. The cook let me try his caldo. We were able to fuel up for our day trip in the area. I would come back to this location in the future. Lovely time with beautiful people.

05/04/2024: Came here excited by all the hype, but wow, was I let down. Right off the bat, things felt off with the seating chaos. Then, the owner/chef? Super hostile. Noticed he’s got a habit of hitting back at 1-star reviews with some pretty snarky replies online. That attitude was in full swing when we were there, especially when telling us we had to order more than just coffee. Honestly, the coffee was passable, and not nearly enough to make up for the vibe. Kinda felt like the friendly place I read about was a totally different spot.

13/01/2024: Our favorite restaurant in Positano. Such a cute place, my wife loved the outdoor seating with the beautiful flowers. The menu has a nice variety of items. The sommelier’s drink suggestions were perfect. We had eggplant Parmesan, dentice, chateaubriand and a few other things but would try anything here!

25/10/2023: Giovanni was excellent. He recommended a fantastic bottle of wine. His recommendation on dinner was also fantastic. I would highly recommend you come here for dinner. I went with my wife and it was very romantic. Giovanni was extremely attentive to the finest detail. It was a small gesture, but very kind one that he knew exactly when I was finished with my wine and waited until then to hand me the check. Thank you Giovanni for an excellent experience.

30/10/2023: Fantastic food, whether fish or meat, pasta or dessert. What Raffaella and Erika conjure up in their kitchen is amazing. We enjoyed it so much that we even went there twice within a week. And thank you to the entire team for being there just for us on “your last evening”! Mille Grazie!

29/10/2023: I have been travelling Italy north to south (including Sardinia) for the past month. This is a 3 star restaurant compared to the high end restaurants I have been to. In positano, you will either pay for the view or the food or rarely both. This restaurant does not provide a view. The ambience inside the restaurant is nice but very basic. This brings me to critique the food here. We (a couple) had a pasta each, a main dish, and a dessert. When plates are priced at 23 to 35 euros a plate, I expect a wow factor or originality to the plate. This is your very basic standard "nonna" restaurant. The taste is good but no Wow. My seabass plate was a bit underwhelming. The tiramisu that I had was same as the one I got for 3 euros the day before. Here is my recommendation to you, this place is quite a drive up through very tight roads (as everywhere else), so I wouldn't displace myself specifically to go eat at this restaurant.

12/05/2024: My wife and I had the most delightful dinner experience at Max on Saturday night. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff welcomed us with warmth and hospitality. Every recommendation, from wine pairings to dessert choices, was spot on. The food was impeccably prepared, the wine selection superb, and the desserts were pure perfection. We are already planning our next visit. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

12/05/2024: I ordered the lobster and pasta special and my husband ordered lasagna. Both were delicious. The service could not have been better. I highly recommend!!

05/06/2024: The food and location is good . We ordered grilled fish of the day , tastes very good , the view is nice , though would be better if view is not blocked by window frames . The owner will give 15-20% off if you pay by cash .

04/06/2024: One of the best views from a restaurant you can get in Positano. Prices are less than places closer to the center of town, but that food is probably better. The only downside is getting there, even with the car or shuttle, can be frustrating.

26/04/2024: I happened to stop by this place to buy water while passing by. In Korea, small supermarkets like Gamaekjip sell food, alcohol, and various other things, and they have quite a variety of alcohol. You can taste everything from beer, whiskey, wine, and various cocktails. It seems to fluctuate 30 minutes back and forth from 11pm depending on whether there are guests or not. If this place is locked after 11 o'clock and there is no place to buy water, turn right around the store and there is a vending machine on the left, so you can buy drinks or water there. I had a gin and tonic and it was delicious. If you're around, give it a try!

27/05/2024: Amazing quality food, view and service. We enjoyed grilled octopus and lobster spaghetti. Both were standout dishes. A wonderful find at the end of pathway of the gods hike. Pristine bathroom.
