08/05/2024: I'm Italian and have been trying many pizzas in the area in last few days and this was really amazing. Delicate dough and tasty toppings. Tried the Forneria and Mortella & pistacchio. Got a fried calzone with tomato and mozzarella as appetizer and was delicious. On the top of this, the staff was extremely friendly and kind: they gave us lot of recommendations for the area, thanks! Sfogliatelle with chocolate and pistache are also great. Great value for the money! Will come back for sure if in the area. Don’t miss it

Although Italy is famous for its pastas and pizzas, after eight days touring the country, we decided to take a break from the typical dishes and chose to visit this restaurant. Although the menu offers a variety of dishes, I personally recommend ordering their burgers (which you can customize). They offer, by far, one of the best burgers I have ever had: the bun is exceptionally delicious and the meats are perfectly sized. In addition, the atmosphere of the place is magnificent, complemented by excellent service and great friendliness on the part of the staff. I highly recommend this place for those looking for a delicious dining alternative.

25/05/2024: Very nice service. The food is delicious. We received a welcome aperitif before dinner and, surprisingly, also after dinner. We certainly recommend it.
20/05/2024: The best bread I’ve had in Italy. The mains were decent too but I regret not trying pizza since the bread is made from the same dough!

22/05/2024: Location was great, we love walking so the 20 min walk into town was great for us. Cliff views amazing. Rooms though was where it went south. Room smelled like mildew, decor outdated, small bathroom and blow dryer that looked like it came from the early 1900s (also did not work and smelled like it was going to explode when turned on). Bed was uncomfortable and there were so many flies outside on our patio we couldn’t enjoy it. Breakfast was meh. Overall I would not come back solely because of the room.
20/05/2024: We had an absolutely magical stay at Hotel Corallo. The scenery is unreal- the most beautiful views of any hotel I have ever stayed in. There is a ton of space in the hotel (both inside and out) to view the water and we never felt crowded in the public spaces. The staff were all wonderful as well. The waiters and bar staff always were attentive and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious! We used the shuttle bus service to get in and out of town and it was easy and convenient. Staying here was the highlight of a really incredible trip- don't hesitate to book!

21/02/2024: Greeted by the smile "der pizzarolo or del pizzaiolo" we sat down starting with croquettes and mozzarella in carrozza. Both excellent but the crocche' is immediately clear that it is homemade due to the true and intense flavor of the potato. The family pizza, margherita with anchovies and provola with aubergines was brought to us as we wanted: well cooked and with a little oil... we like to put a little oil "raw". Everything perfect. Will we go back? We postponed our departure for a day just to go back again... in the winter they are only open in the "vikkende"😜😜😜

09/05/2024: We chose this restaurant to celebrate our wedding. A truly exceptional place with stunning views overlooking the bay to Mount Vesuvius. The service was impeccable and friendly. We chose the 5 course food tasting menu at €110pp and it was absolutely amazing with a selection of fine fish and duck. The food and desserts were wonderfully presented and as you’d expect tasted wonderful too.
We also chose the Amalfi wine tasting menu (which is one of three options) which were all fabulous. You can select your own bottle of wine of course from a large selection.
The restaurant itself has beautiful decor and atmosphere. We sat on the terrace which is shielded from the wind by a cover and they offer heaters and blankets if you wish.
We had a pre-dinner drink in their exquisite bar on their roof top which had live music and again extremely friendly service.
The food and wine were outstanding and such a pleasure for us to experience.
A Beautiful and romantic place and we would highly recommend it - especially for that special occasion.

29/12/2023: We found this place on Google map and decided to try it out. The road leading to the parking lot is quite tight so if you are driving a big car, be careful. We had a small car and it was quite a squeeze to get to the parking lot. The gentleman who welcomed and served us was friendly and spoke English well. English menu could be accessed via QR code. Service was prompt and good. We ordered the mixed grilled vegetables and buffalo mozzarella to start. Then the grilled lamb chops and clams in butter with a side of potato chips with parmesan. Finished with espressos. It was a really satisfying meal. Everything was well done. The view is beautiful, panoramic view of Sorrento with Mt Vesuvius in the back ground. We could also see Positano on the other side of the cliffs. The only down side is the noise from the rumbling traffic from the road below the dining area. It's not too bad but you can hear it when a big truck passes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying it out.
Note: they serve pizzas only at night
26/12/2023: Simply a great restaurant. The waiter was friendly and accommodating, the food was cheap and fantastic. The pizzas en point are perfectly baked with fresh ingredients. During our stay near Naples we visited the restaurant three times because it was so good. Really recommended!

Great, simple local food. Fun service. Free Limoncello. If you want to sit in one of the stuffy gourmet hotel restaurants then please feel free. If you want to enjoy your holiday, come here every night.

02/12/2023: We found Ristorante Calise whilst on a walk on our last evening of a week long stay near Sorrento. Well worth seeking out and a true hidden gem. We were given a fantastic welcome and the food was amazing. Our waiter brought out the owner Sabrina who makes the BEST tiramisu ever (see photo) and we met her husband Vincenzo the executive chef. True Italian hospitality and very friendly warm atmosphere. Also have to give Sabrina’s selection of liqueurs a big shot out and she was very generous with her complimentary samples, we even bought a few bottles home with us. If you are in the area please seek this fantastic independent restaurant out, you won’t be disappointed.
