Typical trattoria, it keeps its history alive which you can breathe as soon as you enter those walls rich in tradition. Simple menu, as it should be in such a place. Advise!!!!!!

Those who frequent this restaurant already know what they want to find
The infamous potato croquets and meatballs... Almost old-fashioned trattoria cuisine and reasonable prices
four stars also because it remains faithful to the history of the place.

Historic place in the center of Soleto now managed by expert guys, fast and attentive to the quality of the raw materials and their preparation. I had the puccia with sausage and the puccia is also made by them with the pizza dough! Very good! Obviously there was no shortage of croquettes (for us Salento people: potato panzerotti) and fried meatballs: I'll repeat myself but they are delicious!!!

Excellent raw materials, prompt and courteous service, spartan environment as per tradition, bathroom designed perhaps deliberately "transgressive", but not in line with the rest and not very "well looked after"

There are places in Salento that represent guarantees. Places that preserve the charm and quality of this area. The Zonzi restaurant in Soleto is one of these. Croquettes are a must that could push people to travel miles to enjoy them. Likewise, the "sheet" of horse meat is also one of the delicacies that can be enjoyed. With €20/25 you can drink, eat well and spend a nice evening in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended
Only advice: to improve the cooking of the turcinieddhri they were closer to charring than pleasantly cooked.

When you go to eat at Zonzi you know that the atmosphere is that of an old trattoria, but it doesn't take much to add a bit of modernity and make it a young trattoria. The short menu is only meat and that's fine, the most requested dish is the "panzerotti leccesi" which to be honest I've eaten better ones. The grilled meat is good but a little overcooked (rare and not pink). The service is attentive (the boy who followed us in our many variations was patient). The low bill is fair for the place, but be careful of the cost of the bottled wines, which are exaggerated.

Come da titolo. Se vuoi piatti ricercati ed arzigogolati vai altrove. Se vuoi piatti della tradizionale realizzato con tempo e passione allora questo è il posto giusto. Molto buone le verdure grigliate e d'altra specie, e ottima anche la carne. Locale spartano che però ti fa sentire bene.
