Virginiae In Roma

Excellent food and good service. Not that I would expect anything less, but the balsamic vinegar here was outstanding. The pasta tasted fresh, and the sauces were delicious. Portions were quite large.

We went here as it was convenient to some sighseeing our guests were doing around Piazza Navona and just chose it based on Google reviews. What a great find! The food was excellent as was the service and the lovely setting. I've lived in Rome for the past 3 years and know to generally stay away from the lasgna (frozen most of the time) unless it specifies made in house which this did and it did not disappoint! In our group one had the meatballs and roasted potatoes and the other the handmade ravioli stuffed w/ ricotta and spinach, all excellent as were the starters of caprese salad and prosciutto and melon. The prices are in line with what you find right in the historic center (so a few more euros per plate than if you were not in the centro) but totally worth it considering the location. Our waiter was great, menus available in English too. Oh, and I made the reservation online which I love. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday in early May so it turned out we didn't need them but I like to err on the side of having them anyway instead of waiting or wandering around. Highly recommend!

We had the best capris salad here , but my friend didn’t like her ravioli. The veal shank was pretty good but a bit greasy for my taste and not much mushroom with it .

Excellent carbonara in a great area! The service is very attentive & discreet. As a starter we had the burrata, which was terrific. Hosted by the house wine, we had a great evening & the best meal in Rome in this restaurant! A little more expensive, but definitely worth a visit!

Where to start, the service probably. Sylvano, the guy who took care of us was amazing, so king and helpful, tried to speak french with us, very very nice guy. The food was also wonderful, the lasagna was very good and we also tried the classic pasta which was also fine, the wine was delicious. In summary, food was great, service (Sylvano) was even better and we had a wonderful time !

The cacio e pepe was delicious. A restaurant where you can eat delicious food with peace of mind. Good atmosphere too. The waiter seemed to be very busy, so the response was slow.

If you want a good carbonara in Rome (and are probably willing to spend a little more), you should definitely stop by here. We had the burrata with vegetables as a starter and I have rarely eaten such a creamy burrata - absolutely recommended! The carbonara is really very good, creamy, lots of guanciale and a really good portion. We sat outside in the alley overlooking Santa Maria della Pace, which was a really nice setting. But it also looked very nice inside. The service is very nice and friendly. And all in all it was definitely a good evening. It's a bit more expensive, but it's really worth it and it's Rome.

We ate very well, Roman-style artichokes and very high-quality steaks. The manager, Daniel, was very courteous and skilled in organisation, the waiter was very good, we will definitely be back!

Piatti tipici romani curati nei dettagli e porzioni da osteria (e menomale), ambiente perfetto per una cena sia tra coppie che amici. Due cenni speciali: 1) POLLO ALLA ROMANA migliore di tutta Roma, assolutamente da provare 2) SILVANO, maitre di sala coinvolgente, simpatico e valore aggiunto per il locale. Virginae è stata una piacevole scoperta e diventerà tappa fissa nei miei viaggi a Roma. Bravi

I really enjoyed dinner here on my first night on a recent visit to Rome. I didn't book but got there when they opened on a Friday and was seated. Service was excellent and the food was terrific. I'd have eaten here again on the following Monday but they're closed on Mondays. I look forward to dining here again.
