Vinegar American Bar In Empoli

17/04/2024: Barely arrived in Florence, we chose this restaurant. Very very beautiful cellar. They were kind enough to welcome us despite our late arrival at 9 p.m. Very good cuisine. I recommend.

07/04/2024: Made a reservation one month in advance for a vegetarian tasting menu here. When we arrived and were seated the maitre d’ started discussing meat options, already extremely disappointing as we were the only table at that point in the restaurant. The wines were very good, cheese very good, the food could have been better however. The risotto we started with was delicious, the 2nd course however a piece of broiled (not boiled) cabbage was a ridiculous thing to serve in such a setting. I feel as if they weren’t at all prepared for us despite their website which notes that they cater to vegetarian/vegans and I received email confirmation they could accommodate us. Disappointing, I wouldn’t go back unless they produced a proper vegetarian menu (this is 2024)!
